Kevin also gives us a behind-the-scenes look at how the Pentagon was once covered versus how the press corps functions now.
“They’re fully separated on the way to the divorce court. It’s a very bad relationship,” he said. “We haven’t seen this kind of crackdown at the State Department. We saw it briefly with a couple reporters at the White House. … But not just institutionally. And frankly, no other place has these kind of extraordinary rules.”
