Kevin Baron has traveled all over the world, covering U.S. foreign policy and national security for over two decades. So he has a keen understanding of how the Pentagon operates — and what’s changed under Trump.
Kevin, founder of Elevation Global Strategies and former editor with Defense One, joined retired Navy Commander Bobby Jones on another installment of Anchor Watch to help make sense of the Trump administration’s handling of the war in Iran. Kevin also gives us a behind-the-scenes look at how the Pentagon was once covered versus how the press corps functions now.
“They’re fully separated on the way to the divorce court. It’s a very bad relationship,” he said. “We haven’t seen this kind of crackdown at the State Department. We saw it briefly with a couple reporters at the White House. … But not just institutionally. And frankly, no other place has these kind of extraordinary rules.”
Join Bobby Jones on Anchor Watch with his guest, Kevin Baron, for more the Iran War and chances that the U.S. blockade in the Strait of Hormuz will work, right here on Lincoln Square.
