Can Trump Bypass Election Laws? | The Frank Figliuzzi Show Welcomes Maya Wiley, Civil Rights Attorney & Activist

“Donald Trump and his administration can try to violate the law all they want. All they’re going to do is ensure that voters don’t want to vote for them.”

The 2026 midterms are fast approaching. And while most polls show Democrats could retake the House — and even the Senate could be in reach — many election experts are warning that Donald Trump and his MAGA allies are willing to do whatever they can to prevent that from happening in November.

Maya Wiley, President and CEO of The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights, joined The Frank Figliuzzi Show to talk about Trump’s threats. She reminds us that he can scream all he wants about federalizing the election, but the Constitution is explicitly clear that the states control the election process. Wiley also discusses the coalition of groups at the ready to take on the administration with however it tries to violate the laws in its effort to cheat in this election.
