Tom Bonier, Democratic political strategist and Senior Advisor with TargetSmart, joined Edwin Eisendrath today on It’s The Democracy, Stupid to crunch some poll numbers.
Edwin doesn’t want to get too ahead of himself, but could Texas be the whale the Ahab in him has been searching for? Tom breaks down the U.S. Senate primary in the Lone Star State last week.
“They spent $80 million on the Republican side, about three times as much as was spent on the Democratic side. Yet even with that type of expenditure, there’s this huge swing where 200,000 more Democrats voted in Texas than Republicans. And the biggest swings were, as you say, in these areas where they drew these districts, South Texas, Rio Grande Valley area, especially heavily Latino counties,” he said.
Geek out with some more polling on It’s The Democracy, Stupid with Edwin Eisendrath and Tom Bonier.
