Late last week, the Department of Justice released nearly 3.5 million documents related to the Epstein files, putting the spotlight on a number of influential figures associated with the notorious financier. And for Joe Trippi and Joe Klein, “morality” is the word they kept coming back to on The Two Joes.
“Morality is at the center of culture, of what maintains and builds a culture. And we’ve lost any sense of morality. Now, I’m not one of those people who believe that you have to go to church every Sunday or even believe in God. But you do have to have a moral center. And that is something that you don’t see politics,” Joe Klein says.
So what might Trump do to distract us? The Joes warn that Iran might be on the radar.
Klein and Trippi also hammer ICE in the wake of all the turmoil they’ve caused across the country. Trippi cites journalist and historian Garret Graff’s Doomsday Scenario, which points out an alarming figure, that “over the 20 years from 2005 to 2024 — the last year numbers are available — at least 4,913 CBP officers and Border Patrol agents have been arrested themselves, some multiple times.” That’s nearly size of the Philadelphia police department according to the report.
