Trump had quite a day on Monday at a couple of press events. Here’s a sample of some of his ramblings:
“I’ve spoken to a certain president, who I like, actually, a past president, a former president. He said, ‘I wish I did it, I wish I did,’ but they didn’t do it. I’m doing it.”
Trump claimed that he talked to a former president is jealous of his amazing Iran War. (Spokespeople for all four living former presidents have denied that conversation).
“I do believe I’ll have the honor of taking Cuba.”
He’s again threatening an invasion of Cuba, since the Iran war is going so well.
“He would be dead by June.”
The president decided to reveal some confidential medical information about GOP Congressman Neal Dunn, clearly horrifying Speaker Mike Johnson and some the audience.
“I think the president should not have learning disabilities.”
That was Trump’s comment about California Governor Gavin Newsom having dyslexia, which he’s previously called a “mental disorder.”
Lincoln Square Executive Editor Susan J. Demas invited Edwin Eisendrath, host of It’s the Democracy, Stupid, and veteran Chicago journalist Joan Esposito to try to make sense of Trump’s madness. Challenge (impossible).
