More Lawfare from Trump | The Frank Figliuzzi Show Welcomes Olivia Troye, VA-07 Candidate

"These are monumental decisions that are happening, that are rolling back where we are as a country."

Frank Figliuzzi welcomed Olivia to his show to talk about her candidacy, as well as breaking news from SCOTUS in the Louisiana vs. Callais case, which struck a huge blow to the Voting Rights Act in a 6-3 decision. Last week, Virginians headed to the polls and approved a new, temporary redistricting process. So how might this Supreme Court decision impact this?

“I was very concerned when I saw that ruling with the Supreme Court because I worry about what this means for the future of minority voting rights. And I think what we’ve seen with Republicans and what they’re doing across the country,” she said. “I am thinking going forward, forget about me and this district and what this means in this moment. I’m looking to the future and worried about what it means for the voters in Virginia and minority populations and Black and Latino communities and what that means going forward. for them here in this state and across the country.”
