Does America Have Concentration Camps? | It's the Democracy, Stupid with Edwin Eisendrath & Author Andrea Pitzer

"We have become a concentration camp society. We still have a lot we can do about it, but we're already there."

Journalist and author Andrea Pitzer has written about many key events over her career, but none as deeply terrifying and alarming as the history behind concentration camps.

She joined Edwin Eisendrath on It’s The Democracy, Stupid to offer a dire warning of how that history is repeating itself with the Trump administration building detention centers across the country, like Dilley in Texas where many children have been held. And while enormous damage has been done, Andrea still believes that we have an opportunity still to turn the corner on Trump’s authoritarian agenda.

Check out this important conversation with Andrea Pitzer and Edwin Eisendrath on It’s The Democracy, Stupid here on Lincoln Square.
