From the inept response to the Texas flooding tragedy to barbarism of the Florida concentration camp, MAGA has no “business with the levers of power,” Edwin Eisendrath says.
But that’s the world we live in now. As he does every week, Edwin, who hosts a weekly Chicago radio show, joins Lincoln Square Editor Susan J. Demas to talk about the biggest stories of the week.
With Trump signing the MAGA Murder Bill — and Speaker Mike Johnson symbolically handing over the speaker’s gavel to him just to symbolize the absolute capitulation the Republican Congress to the man who wants to be king — it’s been a rough week for those of us in the pro-Democracy movement.
But we’ll be at the next mass protests on July 17. And we want everyone who’s unhappy with what Trump is doing, with the direction of our country now, to join us and make your voice heard.
“And let's just let you and I put a stake in the ground and say, even if you voted for him, come on in. The water is warm,” Edwin says. “You are welcome.”
