This isn’t just about the human toll of mass shootings, there is also the political opportunism and selective outrage that follows in their wake, particularly from Christian nationalists.
Christian nationalists weaponize tragedy while gun reform remains stalled despite overwhelming evidence that solutions exist. But gun reform, at this point, is so far off the table as to be laughable. The broader crisis of violence, power, and bad faith politics is shaping the nation today. And it starts at the very top.
