“If Ukraine were to lose ... this country would be turned into a slave colony of Russia. ... It’s just a horror show of torture, murder, rape, child trafficking.”
That’s the somber assessment from Stuart Stevens, who has returned to Kyiv on another aid mission. He arrived as we entered the fourth year of this war since Russia invaded Ukraine.
And if you noticed it’s dark out, there’s a reason for that.
“It’s a little dark out here because the goddamn Russians have hit the power, but our streets are full of people,” Stuart said. “… People seem to be in really good moods.”
