Late last week, the Supreme Court struck down Donald Trump’s attempt to unilaterally impose tariffs. But he can still have his economic policy of choice, providing he gets Congress to go along with him. Needless to say, Trump wasn’t happy and we’ll probably hear more about that soon during his State of the Union address.
Justin Wolfers, author and University of Michigan professor of public policy and economics, joined Susan J. Demas on Lincoln Square to discuss the major ruling and Trump’s SOTU speech. Wolfers also gave us a much-needed Econ 101 lesson to help us understand how we got here and what the long-term impacts of Trump’s policies are. You’ll want to watch the whole interview with Justin Wolfers and Susan J. Demas here on Lincoln Square.
And join us for much more State of the Union coverage on Lincoln Square tonight.
