After the U.S. and Israel began a “major combat operation” in Iran overnight, retired Navy Commander Bobby Jones was on air with us for almost two hours.
Bobby, who hosts Anchor Watch on Lincoln Square, talked about his years leading troops in the region. He was even stationed in the the U.S. Navy base in Bahrain which Iran struck in retaliation.
“To be completely honest, if I’m going to be very blunt about how I view this, we had a nuclear deal with Iran that was negotiated by Barack Obama, and now we’re here,” Bobby said. “And I honestly believe that the Trump administration said we cannot have this deal negotiated by the Black guy, who he hates with all his passion. They blew up the deal. And now possibly sailors, airmen, soldiers, Marines are now under direct threat.”
