But the main reason that the moron wants the Peace Prize is because Obama received it.

Terrific article. As with Donald Trump, MAGA and Christian faithfuls lack basic skills in Logic and a sense for Reality.. Faith and loyalty trump truth and basic education.

Maybe they could lure him to Europe on the pretext of accepting his “Noble” (sic) Peace Prize and then arrest him for war crimes.

He’s desperate to control even the future where kids would learn he got that prize. They’ll learn he was a fascist, a convicted sex offender, and a traitor.

Could someone just give him a golden toilet and tell him it’s a Nobel peace prize? Anything to make him stop!

Don’t tell him he has no chance. It might be what is preventing an invasion or other attack.

There are so many examples of why derr Leader doesn't deserve to be even considered for the Nobel Peace Prize.

Recall February 21, 2022 when Trump praised Putin for his genius in attacking the Ukraine. To encourage and praise others in their persecution of an unjust war is hideously against what Nobel wanted to see.

Recall January 6, 2025 when soon to be President Trump called for the annexation of Greenland and the retaking of the Panama Canal Zone, by military force if necessary, in the name of national security. He repeated those same suggestions less than three weeks later once in office and continues to do so. Declaring we have a right to override other's national sovereignty for imagined national security needs disqualifies him.

Trump's ending of USAID abroad. Soft influence has kept more conflicts at bay than hard military action, but Trump and Hegseth refuse to understand that. Further, encouraging such things as famine make people in nations who are plagued by such become desperate, and history has shown us is often a major reason to start hostilities over food and fertile territories.

Gaza. Period.

American Presidents since WWII have had us become arms merchants to the world, in the early years in the name of anti Communism, but once that threat had passed merely in the name of national economics. But Trump has taken it to another level. He doesn't care who buys American weapons (except the Ukraine) as long as the money flows in to the American coffers. Arming both sides in potential conflicts never helps to induce peace, nor is providing weapons to countries who want to be regional masters.

Finally, Trump buddying up to some pretty horrible autocratic leaders who use military (and other) force to control their own citizenry and threaten and finance the attacks on others, such as Syria and Qatar. His love for the security of Israel seems to get fogged in while he's dancing (metaphorically) with the Emir of Qatar, who openly supports terrorism against Israel.

And let us not forget that being a man of peace does not mean the use, in a democratic society, of the military against citizens within the country with whom he disagrees, let alone merely because he likes to do so, and the SCOTUS has given its blessing.

Has anyone given thought to trump’s 180 against putin is actually a hoax being orchestrated by putin? Perhaps he is telling trump to act strong against him as a decoy. with everything Putin has on trump to continue to control him there’s just no way trump would reverse course on his puppet master.

It is incredible that Trump, somewhere in the deep recesses of his mind (?), thinks that he deserves the Noble Peace prize. As you so artfully pointed out he has done nothing large or small that leads to peace in any form. He wants a the Nobel Peace Prize? I am not sure he even deserves a participation ribbon. The Noble Peace Prize winners reflect the steps toward worldwide peace that need to be taken. Of course we haven't gotten there yet. Everyday we all can take steps or at least try to take steps, toward peace by helping our neighbors, caring for our environment and the big old worldwide community in small ways. Acts that we do out of love and concern with no for thought of a prize. Miss-steps do happen, but still we try. This is the way to peace--a peace that is meant to be. Thanks, Lisa. You are always on point.

Re Nobel Peace Prize. You left out that he wants one because Obama has one. Racism. Birtherism. Obama joked about him at some dinner. Obama lives rent-free in (what is left of) his mind.

You guys are describing a malignant narcissist. Delusions of grandeur and more wide-reaching problems distinguishing fantasy from reality are diagnostic. And then there's his characterological paranoia, which appears to be deepening as whatever form of dementia he has progresses. I hope someone calls this out via the 26th Amendment before he puts even more of us in danger. Authorizing the military to shoot American citizens for nonexistent crimes? Authorizing Hegseth to assemble ALL of the heads of our Armed Forces in one place at one time? What could possibly go wrong?

Not to mention firing on boats in the Caribbean, claiming (with no proof and some evidence to the contrary) that they were smuggling drugs to the United States. Even if they were (which I doubt), using the US military against them is not justified. Forget the Nobel Prize - he should be before The Hague.
