I believe Indvisible is heading down this path with plans to be targeted and quick.

Americans do not have a history of General Strike, Europeans do. Americans don't think politics is about them, Europeans do. Sadly, we are going to have to find another way to, I dunno, survive all this, stop all this and then thrive that is uniquely American taking inspiration from our own past and from Europe. It's all very sad and frustrating.

This needs to be done. It's the one power average Americans have. But it needs to go further. Cancel all of Meta services - FB, Instagram, Threads, every service linked to the people bowing to these fascist supporters. Stop buying Apple products. Cancel as many services as possible. The only thing these people understand, and value is power and money!

Absolutely Connie. Education so important. Few citizens understand capitalism and how to make a statement with income. Look at sports. Fans will incessantly buy season tickets for losing teams. And complain the team lost. Owners quite happy because the coffers are full anyway. It’s a business.

I am more than willing to participate in a boycott and to share the list. The problem is that I don't have a list. It's a lot of work for someone to provide. I wish I were able to provide one. Someone, please hit me up if one is available. Love & Peace to all...

I'm so glad I caught this discussion! It's a topic of great interest and this was very informative. I enjoyed it. Except for...

The people who complain about the lack of (whatever) at No Kings should get themselves to their local Indivisible.org or 50501 or MoveOn or or or and Jump In to Do the Work!

Why do people behave like they're children and Some Leader Somewhere will make it right for us? No one is coming to save us. And that's okay, because We the People are sufficient to save the people.

I volunteer with Indivisible (in a very small way), and I can tell you definitively we are focused on what the next steps can/should be. It's not self-evident, because it has to be something we can succeed at-an important principle in organizing. Failure/ impotence would damage the movement. For example: Ask everyone to dump Meta? Whoa. Or Twitter X?

No reasonable person thought No Kings 2 was a one-off that would do the job! Or even No Kings 5 or 9. Mass mobilizations are one tool.

But: in April we got 3 million out for Hands Off. In June we got 5 million out for No Kings 1. In October we got 7 million (at least). In 6 months. (And Trump smashed our People's House in retaliation.)

We still have people who are protesting for the first time. People who don't want to be "around anger." Am I glad there was a joyful spirit? Hell yes. I don't want us to scare people away! Let's leave that to the Republicans.

No Kings 2 was also hard work. Your local organizers will have worked their tails off, getting trained in legal rights and crowd safety and deescalation and media coverage, perhaps negotiating permits, with the added weight of the Republican Party openly saying we're terrorists -and it's okay to attack them, right? And we could have used more volunteers. Anyone who is concerned about the danger we are in ought to get involved and help! Just do it. And please, stop complaining about how "the leaders" aren't doing enough!

Capturing the energy of a rally is critical, and it's not easy. It involves a lot more time and thought than a couple of hours on one day.

If you want "more" I can suggest: Set up a food-donation drop off at your rally -and advertise it well !- and then arrange to get heavy boxes to your local food banks-- they're running out. Organize a winter-clothing collection. Collect for a bail fund for detained immigrants. If there's a hot issue will people attend a City Council meeting and speak or stand in support. Or or or. Do Something. And please, don't complain. We are doing the best we can right now, knowing we have to build more strength.

If anyone wants to sample Indivisible, couldn't be easier: "What's the Plan?" with co-exec directors Leah Greenberg and Ezra Levin. Zoom, every Thursday 3-4 pm (EST). Maybe 15 minutes of updates, mostly Q&A. Register at Indivisible.org. Uplifting and informative.

Power of the purse is the greatest power "We the People" have in our control. Truth Matters is advocating that Indivisible organize a "No Kings Economic Army," a strategic approach that will have maximum impact without requiring too much sacrifice. Millions of us are ready to act. How about it, Ezra and Leah?

These are the kinds of talks that we need to be having, exactly.

Not fair to call the protest "window dressing". For some people it was a stretch to just get out with a sign. We just need to be clear that it was just one step. So stop diminishing it!

Totally agree. It was so successful because it didn’t pigeonhole anyone into a particular position. Left, right or in the middle - it’s reasonable to resist authoritarianism. Only extremists would argue. Definitely think we need to tackle Citizens United. That should be our focus.

Cheeto Shits On Americans For Billionaires

You may have seen the AI generated video that King Cheeto pushed out…has him wearing a crown in which he is seen flying a jet and dumping shit on people in Times Square The message is clear, Cheeto doesn’t care about Americans or the country He only cares about himself and his billionaire buddies Anybody loyal to him gets in on the scam The rest of us, well, we can eat shit

Any celebrity complicit with Cheeto like Stallone, Sweeny, and Wahlberg need to be shown in the limelight as Nazis and traitors to the country

Democratic politicians like Fetterman(D-Pa) and Goldman(D-Fla) need to be primaried

Companies like Facebook, Amazon, Twitter(X), Nestle, Target, T-Mobile(switch phone carrier), TikTok, The Atlantic(full page ad for Theil’s Palantir), Airbnb, Tesla, and any others complicit with this Nazi regime need to be fiercely boycotted

Farmers and ranchers in rural America are finally getting the message Cheeto never cared for our welfare That’s why he gave $1T tax cut(meanwhile the American debt just passed $38T) to his billionaire buddies and now sells the country out to Argentina Get the picture Cheeto shitting on Americans Traitor

So who do we boycott? I like Google because it’s a large, visible and vulnerable target with alternatives like DuckDuckGo
