Trump has stacked the deck in Federal Law Enforcement. You can take it to the bank that agents sent out to do his dirty work were hand selected for their willingness to do whatever he wants, without question. His expansion of organizations like ICE will be done by only hiring those who are political soulmates and subservient to his power, and with a tendency to be brutish for the pleasure of it.
As for Iran, may G-d have mercy on all those caught up in the conflagration that will follow. Of course the Saudis aren't being critical of us. They want our weaponry and shield, not even to discuss them being a Sunni Muslim state standing in opposition to the Iranian Shia Muslim state. I hear no mention or debate about the application of the 1973 War Powers Resolution that defines and limits the President's authority to use military forces in the absence of Congressional authorization or declaration of war or national emergency. Trump is pushing the limits of his powers in a worrisome authoritarian direction with the apparent compliance of Congress.
