Project 2025 will continue with Vance. Impeaching Trump will not stop this and will make it worse because Vance's feigned civility will fool many more than a fumbling fool like Trump. Trump is a product of, not the leader of, the coup against the constitution. It's a mistake to take your eyes off the corruption of the Constitution by the Roberts court. They are making Trump legal.

AI Bots Supporting Cheeto’s Nazi Propaganda

Hitler’s propaganda minister, Hermann Goebels, would be proud of the current Nazi propaganda machine supported by AI bots on Twitter(Musk’s X) as reported by MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow Hundreds of posts on Twitter are intended to show MAGA supporters the incredible job that Cheeto’s cabinet members are doing

Bots are trained to say what MAGA supporters would say Now the split in Cheeto world the bots are confused about the Epstein scandal and same bot supports Bondi and the next day wants to get rid of Bondi System error

So check everything out with the apparent sources cited if it sounds unbelievable or not right snopes.com is another good way to verify information because this is going to get worse

Democrats need to fight for voting rights before any other issue or all is lost. Not looking for Bernie Sanders or the like to help the US, it will not work. Grass roots support and organization is the only way forward

Finally, something intelligent.

"...either we’ll fix it … or we won’t."

We won't fix shit. The republic we were living under all our lives was a creation of genius-level 18th Century intellects and singular courage. We have nothing like that today. If we did, what would be created would be of the 21st Century and informed by 250 years of historical experience.

In their time, the Founders had no idea whether their creation would flourish or die. They took a titanic risk. We know it can work, but a key ingredient is a myth that sustains people with a shared vision, even if it's not 100% 'true'. Myths can't be created and sustained, they emerge organically. Best case, if we succeed, what comes then will bear very little resemblance to what we had before. So, that's the answer: there's nothing to bounce back TO.

The best metaphor I've heard yet was the forest fire. Trump unleashed an inferno that consumed a huge amount of the government and our civic mores. Forest fires destroy, and they also clear out dead debris and scrub, making way for new growth.

Can we shape what comes next? I have no clue.

Was FDR middle of the road? Was LBJ middle of the road? Was the horrible Reagan middle of the road? None were middle of the road so why would dems keep trying to be the middle of the road losers? Dems do not have a message, a plan, or a personality outside of that given to them by media. AOC and Jasmine Crockett will draw more support and enthusiasm than the old guard playing patty cake with fascists.

I couldn’t agree more, Deborah. He’s as smart as they come. I’m talking to him again next week about his new book. We’ll update the schedule later this week.

As Trump declines, mentally & physically, could the resultant decrease in his speaking face forward to people reduce the depth of MAGA’s investment in him?

Does history show us any other time where the autocrat ages out and there isn’t a powerful similar voice to replace them?

First, I didn't think the Harris campaign was the status quo. So please stop with that garbage. It does not help. But if you can, please frame a vision that perhaps the visionless democrats might be able use. A vision that holds promise and is doable. Doable is always a problem--remember Hoover and a chicken in every pot. Didn't work did it.

Get rid of Citizens United. Dems are beholden to big money, when big money is what they need to go after, by raising taxes on the uber-wealthy.

The people now in power don't want any kind of democracy; they want a dictatorship and want the planet controlled by and designed for white Christian nationalist males. They have no empathy. Need to get rid of all the "inferiors" using up their "god[sic]-given resources" and put white Christian national women in traditional roles (and probably any young attractive white women they think will submit).

Until a majority of voters become aware of this Project 2025 modus operandi, think it wrong, and have enough gumption to vote, the pendulum is frozen. Dems need to fight for voting rights especially in districts Repubs have targeted.

The problem in my mind is that Congress often is battling the President as it is so closely divided. Republicans have the whole mess at the moment and still are not getting much done except for the MAGA Murder Bill which many Republicans seem to regret. Biden got a lot done his first two years but then Republicans took over the House and nothing much got done the next two years.
