The Republican party is rotten to the core and has no vision that can take us forward. We have got to separate somehow and live under entirely different sets of rules. Don't tread on us, Trump.

Violence, political or otherwise, is not the answer. I think EVERY Democratic politician has said that. Meanwhile, on the right, especially fevered believers in the Prince of Peace, are going crazy calling for death of Democrats and want to start a Civil War. Followers of the Prince of Peace are making bomb threats all over the county. Republicans are rotten hypocrites. BTW, the entire family of the killer are Trumpers.

First: I missed you last week Alex. Second: Alex, do you still do "3,2,1", newsletter? I was getting it and then not. Now: Todays discussion was a bit overwhelming for me mostly because Mike Podhorzer laid out "truths" that I never realized were so politically important. Particularly the unions and their structure. I am not anti-union, I just never realized how their structure could help in this political fight. Mike woke me up to that. I may be waking up, but glad you are going to speak with him some more. Also, to show how naive I am, I had never heard of the Mike Podhorzer. Lots to learn. Still wonder what the "new" vision should be. When an acorn falls to the ground it is still an acorn which means it could be eaten; be apart of dried fall arrangement: or the beginning of tree. If a tree, that tree would still be an oak. Hmm~~? Thanks, and take care. (Oh, I, too, was stunned when I heard the news of the assignation of Charlie Kirk. I knew he was very conservative and perhaps a Christian Nationalist (ugh). I thought what the heck brought this on? There just aren't words that capture the tragedy of this act.)

Using The Angry Mob Mentality For Change

Anger is double edged sword It can be destructive which gives this emotion a bad rap But it can be constructive when used in way to respond to threat WE the People are under a Nazi takeover threat and WE are angry at what is transpiring Our only hope is that the Democratic Party can meet the moment with anger and continue to not play by the rules and civility to quash the Nazis in what can only be termed a political civil war

With that said WE the People are behind the Democrats no matter how bad we may think their policies are because they stand between the democratic republic and a Russian dictatorship And I think that there is enough public animosity about this Nazi takeover that a Congressional mandate will become apparent in the 2026 midterms

So what does a Democratic platform look like? It better be darn close to what that anger that brought about the Democratic election results No more civility No more compromise No more reaching across the aisle It should look like a knockdown drag out fight and no taking prisioners This should include election reform to include mandatory mail in voting in every state and removal of gerrymandering , SCOTUS expansion, abortion rights and women’s reproductive health initiatives, end Citizens United and big money in politics, AND revocation of tax relief for billionaires and corporations

You have to ask?

The Southern Strategy brought together the disgruntled southern Dixiecrats and the GOP. The South never accepted the reality that they lost, fostered by people like Jefferson Davis, who blamed Robert E Lee for surrendering. Then there were the Daughters of the Confederacy, who also refused to accept reality.

But the GOP took hook, line and sinker all the worst of what the Old South had to offer. They embraced it and made it theirs.

90% of the American economy occurs in cities, not in the hamlets and hollers of “real America”. But the right, cities are the demon’s lair. They’re on their way to put us all back to a pre-industrial revolution economy, though.
