Why do some people want to hate Black people? What's wrong with them? WTH is this "Race Card"-bullshit anyway? When one race has to be hyper-vigilant to save their own lives from some more aggressive and pathologically hostile members of another race, how else can their reality be explained? Racism and racial violence is in the news and a part of our lives Every. Damn. Day.
I'm an older white woman living in Mississippi and ever since his memorial service, Nolan Wells has virtually vanished from the news and public discourse. My heart breaks for his poor parents. I've lost a child whom I couldn't protect, no matter how hard I tried to save her. There is no pain like it and it never ends.
My heart breaks for every black person in this country. I'm a boomer white male and I truly believe all this racist hatred starts in the home. My family is from the Deep South but I was blessed to be raised by a family that rejected racism and made dang sure I didn't participate in that vitriol in any way. My dad joined MLK's march on Washington in '63 and it had a profound impact on me, even as a child. We have to make sure our children understand that racism in any form is unacceptable.
Their trainings are so efficient, fast paced, and inspiring the hour flies by! I always feel better after being in that energy with literally thousands of people.
I listened to Joy Reid Show. Nolan Wells may have been killed more than likely because he was black. George Floyd killed by police officer and Emmitt Till hung then body burnt by false accusations. The woman who accused Till is still alive yet we as a nation don’t care about this story. I care. We must have sweeping changes to our government and how we treat people.
Chhristian Nationalism? This bunch of clowns are ignoring our forefathers who strongly believed in the separation of church and state. In addition, many of the things they espouse are as unchristian as Vladimir Pukin. I'm a man who strongly believes in the rights of women to do anything a man can do.
The Lever’s David Sirota(bit.ly/4gxOji1) sat down in a brief interview with Abdul El-Sayed to talk about his position on Israel and the antisemitism issue. Huge $$ amounts are being spent by AIPAC to disparage El-Sayed’s position, wanting to paint him into the corner of antisemitism. The fascist AIPAC view doesn’t equate to morality but El-Sayed fears that the Zionist movement itself will provoke antisemitism. He believes Judaism is divorced from Zionism but unfortunately they are equated.
So El-Sayed, an Egyptian, is against our taxpayer $$ going to all foreign governments that rob from our own domestic solvable issues, eg schools, infrastructure such as roads, and protection of our communities. For him it becomes a moral issue. He questions the US government policy that supports genocide by a foreign government while it doesn’t support its own needs at home. And that’s for any foreign government, not just the current fascist apartheid Israeli government running Israel now.
Of course the Zionists of the Democratic establishment are threatened by such a radical shift in foreign policy that would result in lack of US military aid to Israel. Democratic political consultants like Simon Rosenberg of the substack Hopium Chronicles, a self professed Zionist, has for years steered AIPAC $$ to Israeli supporting candidates and El-Sayed threatens the viability of those efforts.
Oh, Malynda--I don't get it either.

I am so sorry.
