Well said. Republicans don't give a damn about anyone but white men. They are soulless creatures. They brag about and enforce policies that kill hundreds of thousands of mostly black Africans , including the starving of infants and children, as trump admits white South Africans to US without any need to go through the normal immigration procedures. Noem, and the cowardly, ignorant FEMA director should be arrested for manslaughter, or at least disregard for human life as they ignored and botched a disaster that took the lives of more than 100 so far. Republicans are more a death cult than a political party. GOP makes Charles Manson, Jim Jones and Lucifer blush at their cruelty and lack of remorse for the deaths they cause.

Dictatorships Have One Thing in Common Lack of Empathy

Hopefully we can all agree that what Herr Homan, head of the Brown Shirts(Hitler’s paramilitary in contrast to the Gestapo which was Hitler’s secret police ie Kash Patel’s agency), is despicable, illegal, and reprehensible Herr Homan says he’s getting rid of the "worst of the worst" which is hardly the case Herr Miller who is part of the Gestapo has set a quota of prisoners the Herr Homan must achieve by whatever means

Today a DACA recipient was abducted by the Brown Shirts and taken off to a concentration camp Weeks ago a naturalized child citizen was sent out of the country

It’s getting closer folks First it was undocumented immigrants Now it’s legal citizens who are naturalized by birthright(Cheeto wants to end birthright citizenship and SCOTUS has essentially ruled against him)

WE the People should be appalled at what’s happening in our streets This is NOT who WE are as Americans and WE should never tolerate what is happening in our country

Getting rid of the "worst of the worst" is hardly the case No civil rights for immigrants Lack of empathy? You bet Should we care? Absolutely!!

As Pastor Niemuller wrote (https://bit.ly/3ImpTch) he indirectly condemns complicity of German intellectuals and clergy following the Nazis' rise to power and subsequent incremental purging of their chosen targets.

If you don't like what's happening to your fellow human beings, our immigrants then PROTEST locally and make your voice heard

A lot of ink has been used reviewing how the GOP doesn't believe the government has a roll in these issues. Perhaps a more informative discussion would be an examination of why the public has twice elected a person who has so clearly stated his intent. Begin with the concept that to the MAGA voter his/her justifications are valid. We can't obtain their vote by starting the conversation with bold statements painting them as fools. Do we really know what motivates the MAGA voters or do we write our own justification as seen from within our own bubble.

This explains it better than anything I've seen before, but it takes some effort to absorb it all:

I am not disagreeing but we need answers and positive direction on how to go forward in a way that counteracts what is happening. Wailing to us that are already painfully aware of what THEY are doing is not helpful. There needs to be direction in how to stop or at least divert what is happening. MAGA is taking my breath away with their very long term planning and preparation. Every step seems to be accounted for. Nothing seems to be happening from the opposition. If this keeps up we are doomed. Please, more future planning to stop this avalanche, or at least looking into the future of where we can go if we do the planning.

I realize you are reporters but perhaps some planners in the mix would be good. Perhaps some strong leaders might surface.

It looks like the weather is dictating those directions. Humans are being stripped of the abilities to carry forward science, research and green efforts to effect (effectuate - sound familiar?) change. Now, god and prayer are about all the gop has left. Where was the police state to help with the disasters out west? Oh yeah, they were carrying out armed guarded vehicle maneuvers in a children’s park in a state that doesn’t want or need them. There’s the answer. This weather punishment is what white Christian nationalists want. This is god’s wrath that is inevitable for an evil world and if innocent victims are taken out - oh well, that is part of god’s plan. These people WANT the world to end - the rapture. The victorious will join the glory of god, the rest will be left behind to rot in hell on earth.

Agreed! This is an excellent analysis, which is always the strongest starting point. We need to fully understand what is going on before we act. And now…how do we most effectively fight back? I’m a calm person, but I’m getting a bit worried, feeling that time is running out.
