Cheeto And Genocide

Typical of a malignant narcissist Cheeto cares little for his fellow human beings and actually takes pleasure in inflicting pain on people, whether they are his “friends”…he turns on them on a dime….or enemies Now there's a Gaza peace plan

And this guy wants a Nobel Peace Prize?? Give me a break He belongs in jail with his counterpart Netanyahu But it’s not just Cheeto but the United States who should be tried in the International Criminal Court(ICC) for supporting Israel in their reign of genocidal terror This is probably why the US has never been supportive of the ICC because of their own pugilistic style of international relations

We’ll see how long Netanyahu can keep his finger off the trigger Like Cheeto he would go back on the ceasefire if he felt it would be to his advantage An evil axis of two

The elegant system of checks and balances the Founders built into Constitution has failed. For those familiar with Asimov’s Foundation Trilogy, Trump is the Mule—the figure who disrupts the intended timeline. Our country, relatively well-educated, was never supposed to elect such a man as Trump to the highest office but somehow it did. We can leave it to historians to argue over the “whys” in some, hopefully, not too distant future. Our responsibility is to find a way to deal with the Mule and restore our country to its intended course. It is spectacularly evident that the Congress and Supreme Court will not discharge their respective Constitutional obligations to rein in a rogue President. That leaves only two other possibilities. A citizen uprising to oppose the illegal actions of this wannabe dictator and the military. The first we are already seeing in mass demonstrations, boycotts and through State opposition. I fear this may not be enough. These are extraordinary times and require extraordinary measures—ones unthinkable even a short time ago. If the other branches of government continue to fail to exercise their legal obligations, or worse, conspire with President to overthrow the Constitution, it may well fall to the military to rescue us. Each member of the Armed Services has sworn an oath to defend the Constitution. Thus the military intervention must not take the form of a “coup” but rather an intervention that restores our country to the lawful constitutional democracy the Founders intended and was so well expressed by Lincoln in his Gettysburg Address. The military has the power do what the other branches of government have failed to do-hold the President accountable for his “High crimes and misdemeanors.” By doing so they can eliminate the immediate threat to our continuation as a functional democracy and give “we the people” back the power to make sure it survives.

I have a legal question I’m hoping can be addressed by someone on LS: is there any way that the Supreme Court’s presidential immunity decision can be revisited and overturned? Not that this current cadre of gangsters regrets their decision….

The MAGA majority on the court aren't just fans of the ludicrous 'unitary executive', they're pushing for a full-on monarchy - but ONLY if the sitting president is a republican. Remember: this is the same court that ruled President Biden didn't have the authority to set policy for the EPA, which is an executive branch agency. But Trump? He not only has Article II powers, this court granted him Article I powers as well.

As Clarence Thomas made clear the other day, the MAGA majority sees itself as the ONLY court in all our history to know what the constitution really says, which is why he -and they- think nothing of back-handing precedent. Trump isn't the only megalomaniac in government. Of course, the court isn't counting on the natural extension of handing unbridled power to a narcissist like Trump: he'll decide that SCOTUS has no power over him as well; his administration is already ignoring lower court rulings. SCOTUS rulings are next.

Thank you for your thoughtful reporting. What is left of America? With a Supreme Court that rivals the courts in Nazi Germany, a President who believes that he is above the law and a Congress run by a Republican Party that has abandoned law and decency in its quest for power, it is the bravery of judges and some of our fellow citizens that provides our only hope.
