How pathetic is Trump that he cancels the award that was going to be given to Tom Hanks. He is nuts to think that this slight will go unnoticed

I do not think that the GOP will give Vance the same leeway if he became president. So far, the GOP is complicit in the destruction of America

Too bad for West Point. As for the honorable Mr. Hanks, what was it Groucho Marx said on being denied admission to an exclusive club? "That's fine. I wouldn't want to be a part of an organization who would have someone like me as a member."

Just watching a news segment on the Tuskegee pilots on National news. It reminded me of a 1970’s friend who used to suspend herself upside down trying to stretch her height to qualify for Delta pilot qualification for subsidiaries. I use Delta but they are not too equanimical. In fact they are kind of racist. I did meet one black steward on my last flight but that is the first African American I have enjoyed in decades. Shame on me, I have not realized this. Shame, shame, shame. WTF, all we get are pretzels, even in first, F*ing class. Shame on delta. I have met social people who suffer all the congressional hearings for said airlines. Nice people. But I am pretty sure those people just get paid enough money for the suffering. Mercy. Now, all I worry about is falling out of the sky before I get my Covid shot. Will it end?

Thanks for clarifying, in simple terms, something that has been bothering me a lot for the past couple of years. I have noticed that professional interactions, particularly male to female, have become quite brutal. I deal with people all over the world and have for decades. I am quite used to misogyny, etc., and can easily deal with most any kind of behavior, that a lot of people today would have a hard time with. But - I have earned a position of respect in my professional circle and have not had to deal with this type of behavior for a long time. So, it's been kind of shocking how incredibly brutal, entitled, discourteous, unethical and downright mean interactions have become. I have been trying to make sense of it and if I just have become spoiled. When you talked about the culture of dominance that was like a glaring spotlight. I love that I have an explanation now. Thanks for that! I can stop obsessing and start reacting accordingly.

SCOTUS Reform Is An Absolute DNC Mandate

The current SCOTUS is a Nazi engineered judiciary created by Mitch McConnell in collusion with the Federalist Society and the Heritage Foundation By nullifying norms the formation of the current court clearly does not represent the opinions of Americans which is essentially their constituents But the Nazis got their way and here we are

As the country’s highest judiciary it is absolutely out of control as exemplified by the overturning of Roe, then granting Cheeto complete immunity of any crimes committed while in office, and now giving Cheeto and his Nazi allies power to continue their illegal mass deportation process This will be a court that will give askance look at any authoritarian move that the Nazi regime wants to do

SCOTUS reform needs to dilute this corrupt court There is no way that the DNC as part of its platform should not be angered by such illegitimate decisions By expanding the court to 13 members which is constitutionally allowed the court’s power would be muted and less consolidated Some argue that it needs to be done in a step wise fashion but it needs to be done all at once in order to stop this Nazi takeover of the court Some argue that this will lead to every administration to increase the court’s number and that’s ok….the more SCOTUS judges the merrier diluting the influence of these conservative nuts that are currently serving

Constantly saying “you know” or “uh” makes the audience think you have little to say. Concise language is worth its weight in gold.

Now, I'm confused. If "Democrats" (I assume voters) want 'fight and not process', what does it say about the party that refuses to give it to them? Does it not say that the party is willfully committing suicide? The voters get policy papers, land acknowledgements, and pronouns. And their asses handed to them for voter registration and fundraising. How very principled. How very brave. How very stupid.

Two things can happen, both leading to a continuation of Trumpism (with or without that leaking corpse they keep propping up):

1. Dems win big in 2026, taking the House. They then declare that they have the country's mandate, declare that all of their lefty agendas have been embraced by The American People, and proceed to continue sending Very Strongly Worded Letters and hand-wringing about the 'dangers of over-reach', rather than taking summary action and exercising their power to fuck the Trumpists up.

2. Dems lose in 2026.

When "reality" shows first started, I got the opportunity to express my opinion to a tv producer. It demonstrated the only way you can win is to destroy the competition. Not strive to be the best, but to stab others in the back, set up others for failure, to destroy. It would affect our view of proper behavior and drag it into the mud.

Yup.

I call Schumer, Jeffries, my rep and Senators every day. I also call Mike Johnson and Thune. Lately, I have been calling MTG saying that altho I disagree with everything she stands for and advocates, she is right about Epstein and she should vote against funding the government until they release all the files, etc.
