I have a small business, that until last year, supported Canadian tourism. My business is down 52% so far. In addition, I have been forced to pay the high tariffs on goods while desperately trying to keep my prices reasonable. I am in California. The damage from these unnecessary aggressions against our neighbors to the North are affecting many more than the border states. In some way, we are all going to be paying the price.
I'm still PAYING FOR TARIFFS on my heart meds that I buy overseas I used CDW to purchase them fom India. I have to pay the tariff as a consumer in order to get the meds. I have the receipts to prove my tariff payments on top of the meds and shipping fees. I can't afford the US pricing with my insurance. Am I now going to get charged ANOTHER TARIFF BE BECAUSE THE WAREHOUSE THAT I ORDER FROM IS IN CANADA. There's no way for a simple consumer to get the tariff fees back. The portal to get tariff $$ back is set up for businesses NOT individual consumers

So now a 50% tariff is not enough. Cheeto now wants of ban completely some Canadian products from entering the US.
The man is certifiably insane.. 25th amendment time. Congress needs to take away his ability to create tariffs or deal with trade at all. He's on a dictator power tirp on his way out the door.
