As Heather Cox Richardson says it is safer for people of color, for us old white fogies to be out protesting in the streets. Out every Friday in our little town with honks, waves, clapping, and occasionally the thumbs down.

Just posted the following to Mr Marc Elias, please share, widely:

Dear Mr Elias,

The following is a summary of CA State Law regarding acts of terrorism against residents of the State:

California law criminalizes terrorism-related activities, such as making criminal threats (Penal Code 422) and committing acts of violence to intimidate the public or influence policy (Penal Code sections 11410 et seq.), often with penalties up to life imprisonment or death, and also addresses terrorism through hate crime laws like The Ralph Civil Rights Act (Civil Code 51.7) which protects residents from violence due to identity-based discrimination.

Key California Laws Addressing Terrorism

The Hertzberg-Alarcon California Prevention of Terrorism Act (Penal Code 11410 et seq.):

This act defines and prohibits terrorism, which involves acts of violence or threats intended to:

Intimidate a civilian population.

Influence government policy through intimidation.

Affect government conduct by killing or kidnapping.

Examples of such offenses include murder, kidnapping, assault with a weapon, stalking, and tampering with the food supply.

Penal Code Section 422 (Criminal Threats):

This statute makes it a crime to make a credible threat to inflict death or great bodily injury on another person, even if the person doesn't intend to carry out the threat.

Terrorism in the Context of Hate Crimes

The Ralph Civil Rights Act (Civil Code 51.7): This law provides protection from violence or the threat of violence when it stems from hate or discrimination based on a person's actual or perceived sex, race, color, ancestry, national origin, religion, disability, or sexual orientation.

Penalties

Penalties for terrorism-related offenses are severe, with potential prison sentences ranging from years to life, and can even include the death penalty, depending on the nature and severity of the underlying offense.

Bone spurs trump and his numerous minions have TERRORIZED California Residents non-stop since 20 Jan 2025.

Governor Newsom should bring charges against trump & everyone who has participated in their incessant acts of domestic terrorism.

Nothing in the US Constitution, irrespective of the current, corrupt SCOTUS, prohibits a State from PROTECTING ITS RESIDENTS from COUNTLESS, CONTINUES ACTS OF TERRORISM.

Bring it, Mr Elias!

Thank you,

Cheeto Freezing Funds Is NOT The Point Like Tariffs Another Tax On American People

The Orange Cheeto and his Nazi allies in the Executive Branch are freezing federal funds to local, state, and federal agencies on the pretense of cost cutting That is now becoming obviously ludicrous that it’s about making government frugal and streamlined The Nazi party has long contended there is government waste, fraud and abuse but the cutting of civil service jobs is to facilitate privatization of government services

But the funding cuts is a bully tactic to weaken all levels of government from local to state to federal so that these agencies become unable to function effectively, leading to loss of services for those most vulnerable and to projects that serve broad American communities, forcing again a privatization of government The crippling of agencies becomes a bludgeon to hold over American communities so they will have to privatize for funds or services to survive And Cheeto can insist that cities and states cannot effectively work without him, the strongman dictator who can ride into the rescue or take control of services This has just happened in Washington DC with control of Union Station

Freezing funds then becomes a tactic or strategy that bully strongmen use to their advantage to force privatization of services or projects Yet another tax on the American people VOTE these Nazis out of office and prosecute them
