This isn't particularly on subject, but could you publish the agreement that republicans, democrats, and independents reached on fixing immigration a couple of months before the election that t RUMP directed the republicans to tank so he could use it as a tool for reelection. If everyone knew we could have avoided this horror show of t RUMP'S immigration remedy with something everyone agreed upon it might make a difference for most people, even t RUMP supporters, who don't like what is happening. I have not been able to find the contents of that proposed agreement to see if that is worthwhile to get out there and promote, but I think something that everyone agreed upon would be worth looking at and showing to the voters. I think almost everyone wanted immigration fixed but not in the vile way tRUMP goes about things to show what a big, strong, bully bad mouthing child he is.

In a recent study to find the greenest car covering carbon footprint from manufacture to recycle, the winner was not an EV! It was a hybrid, the Toyota Prius. If you live where I do, your EV is running on coal. An EV is not zero-emissions. It's just another NIBY trick if you aren't charging from hydro or nuclear (if you don't car about nuclear waste). The best path to green is in making things more efficient.

Is Cheeto Creating His Own Government Slush Fund?

It is clear that a 15% tariff is a tax on American companies and Americans themselves So whatever tariff is levied by Cheeto in his infinite stupidity is a tax against our own country

So far Cheeto claims that all this new found “tax money” is going to be a windfall for the economy But is it really? Since there is oversight as to the money that apparently goes into the Treasury how will that money be used? Since it hasn’t been under legislative auspices it begs the question as to how it will be used

Now that the Appeals court has in front of it a challenge to the legality of Cheeto’s ability to levy tariffs without Congressional approval and seems ready to take away Cheeto’s tariff plan, if the challenge is successful then the money will have to be repaid to American companies This is probably why companies right now are willing to pay the tariffs because sooner or later it will be coming back to them

Sorry I missed the live chat, volunteering sometimes takes me out and about. But the video discussion works well, because I listen rather than respond. Duh. Listening to you two fellows made me feel my age. It was good energy that I envy. First, I'll comment on sports. I do understand "sports" a bit--not perfect but a bit---Sport performance is indeed action, reaction. So, you are so right concerning that. Take tennis--easy example. Over thinking how you are going to hit the ball is generally too slow and disastrous. On politics, hard for me to think of Trump as entertainment, but I do have friends that loved the Apprentice. Firing people is so ugly, I couldn't see how that in any stretch of the imagination is/or was funny. They voted for Trump saying that Vice President Pence would be a safeguard. How did that work out? Still makes me sigh. ~~ But learning to listen to each other takes both people involved. That is a problem because many of us aren't listening carefully for we are thinking ahead to what we are going to say rather than listening. That said, good interview and discussion. Enjoy the surfing, David. Thanks, Sam, for these good discussions. Take care.

We need a Mark Twain, “Trump and MAGA were the best eggs a Blow Fly could lay…” or a Will Rogers, “Trump and MAGA are gifted knowing a whole lot of something about nothing…” Democrats are afflicted, IMHO, with a compulsion to go Joan of Arc on a MAGA that only believe in their Supreme Lord, He of Grab’em By The P***y. They already have their god so it is time to offer an alternative vision of the better life for everyone without sanctimonious moralizing. We all put our shoes on one foot at a time, but Democrats can tell a story, with humor, about how we will use those shoes to walk to a better life.
