Every time I hear someone say 'that's how democracy works' I hear: 'give a little, take a little'. No demands. No deal breakers. No red lines. While the state of the country DEMANDS a thorough update on many levels. Renovation isn't enough to prepare itself for a century dominated by the threat of tech-oligarchs demanding access to the upper levels of political power and society's surveillance i.e. personal data.

Two terms of Trump and eleven years of MAGA terror on American streets have exposed many undetected and or knowingly neglected loopholes and weaknesses, making it impossible for the next administration to allow for a transistion of power as if. Not to mention having to deal with the numerous transgressions by members of the GOP in Congress and throughout the country. Mike Johnson was right, they should be worried.

The Great American Experiment has only narrowly escaped a carefully planned assassination attempt. Right at the moment of 250 years of independence from the rule of a monarch. This can't be a coincidence.

Orange mussolini neck on the picture looks like the slopes on a CO mountain. POS. I hope whoever shoots down any plane with United States printed on it. It would be our victory. And now there are bugs and doo doo on of the plane food trucks (probably the one orange mussolini got it on).

Cheeto And Antiscience: A Foolish And Dangerous Regression

It was startling to me during the COVID crisis that Cheeto's policy positions during that acute public health disaster were antithetical to the current scientific thinking in the 21st century.

"It will gone by summer" was the promise based on no facts.

"Maybe we could do an internal cleansing with light or bleach" with people dying trying it out.

The promotion of Ivermectin which studies debunked.

And now going after Fauci because he dared use science to direct his decision making.

But this is the fascist Republican way....antiscience is the way in the 21st century. Reminiscent of trickle down economics, unitary executive theory, unions will ruin the country, private companies can do it better than government. All pushed to serve the self interests of the now fascist party.

So it's no surprise that Cheeto is picking right back up where he left off in 2020. Let's kill innocent children by confusing parents into not getting their children vaccinated. Now Cheeto is making vaccines political and saying that the MMR vaccine should be separated(based on a debunked study done 25y ago) and misleading people that infants getting 72 vaccines but that is over the time from birth to 18y. Yes perhaps the vaccination schedule should be altered but to do away with vaccines entirely ala RFK Jr will bring about a measles epidemic. Oh we have one, that's right.

Scary, isn’t it? If you are/were in health care, I am seeing things that we read about in medical history books ( my pandemic was AIDS or HIV or whatever evolution of names). My shoulders and neck muscles are perpetually taut. One step in front of the other, protests, postcards, poll worker, repeat. Action, congress, contribute, care. Speak out, go for the people who speak to our collective hearts, change, challenge, confront. We can do this. Something new, not the same old crap. It is time for us to make money to survive, NOT TO MAKE TIME FOR POLITICIANS TO RIP US OFF.

Your discussions always inform and inspire me. Susan's knowledgeable and even keeled manner along with Edwin's passionate indignation at the travesties that Maga is inflicting on the nation are the perfect balance for a discussion i never want to miss. Thank you both for dedicating your talents to saving US American democracy.

The most pathetic thing I have ever listened to is a black man trying to sound like a white man.
