I watch this show every week (or at least every week it's on since it's been a couple of weeks, lol) and the number, breakdowns, etc. are excellent & trustworthy.
I know the focus is on NJ and VA but once that is over, I wanted to ask for your insight about democratic leadership dragging down the polling numbers. I believe Schumer has to be replaced in 2026 as senate leader & Ken Martin as DNC chair (either replaced or completely change course). However, I've always had a hard time getting a read about Jeffries. I think he would be a great speaker WHEN the democrats take the house next year since it appears house members are united behind him. However, I could be wrong and would really like to know your interpretation of the polls about Jeffries.
Thanks for your coverage of the NJ governor race. Like other Dems in NJ, I am hopeful, but nervous and canvassing for Mikie Sherrill to get out the vote. I'll definitely be at the "No Kings" rally in Montclair tomorrow.
Have you seen any impact on the race from Mikie's startling accusation that Jack Ciattarelli's company, Galen Publishing, contributed to opioid deaths in the state by promoting opioid use through medical education? I can certainly see how they could serve the worst aspects of a drug company’s promotional needs. Having worked in this field, I know that medical education vendors were in reality an arm of the pharma marketing department, not necessarily serving the medical/clinical interests, of the drug company. The system of holding “medical education” programs at arm’s length from the drug company was and is just a ruse to circumvent the “ethics” guidelines. Many of the people doing this work do not cross ethical boundaries, but certainly in the case of Galen Publishing, it is not hard to imagine that they did. In fact, this is the type of marketing for which Purdue Pharma and the Sackler Family recently paid billions in penalties.
In most small companies, the ethics and principles are derived from those of its owner and leader. Jack Ciattarelli claims that his successful business background qualifies him to be governor, but if his success came at the expense of an ethical lapse, the argument falls flat. Jack should answer Mikies' contention rather than threatening to sue her and her campaign. He is even asking for an exception to election financing rules so that he can do so.
US troop deployment into Gaza will break open another crack in MAGA. We already have 'covert' CIA ops in Venezuela, which historically has been the thin edge of the wedge for military involvement, and if OrangeJuliusCaesar starts a regime change war there, the MAGA 'No Forever Wars' camp will be in open rebellion. They're already pissed off about the Argentina bailout.
Going to the #No_Kings protest in Salem, Oregon. I’m with the Airborne Antifa Army. I have a hat that looks like Graham Chapman, mosquito hunter, antenna and wings. Wearing my dad’s Korean War era uniform, Eisenhower jacket, and his 82nd Airborne ring. ✨🧚💫
You both sound so confident that there will be a free and fair election in both 2026 and 2028, but I am terribly afraid that Trump will not allow that to happen. Everyone must register to vote by mail wherever possible, and just hope the votes get counted. They will be blocking voting every way imaginable, and even other ways that we cannot even imagine.
Oh, come on you guys. Liberals, Democrats need to own antifa (STOP adopting the K Street pronunciation! It's the abbreviation for AntiFascist. So it's pronounced AntiFA (just think of your dear sweet Anti FA who marched into the factory during WWII to fight the fascists Stateside while the boys were fighting overseas.
If I weren't so disabled, I'd jump up on the bandstand in Boston Common, grab the mic and say:
"I am Tommye-K. Mayer and I am Auntie FA. We are AuntiFA. We are AntiFascist. We are all AntiFA
The #GreatestGeneration was proudly AntiFA.
I Am AntiFA! Come on everyone. You're not Startacus, I'm AntiFa!, I'm AntiFA! I'm AntiFA!"

Won't Trump just drop the tariffs once we are a few months away from 2026 elections and then claim that he's saved the economy?

Marching for democracy in Southeast PA
We have a bunch of kids sports that day but I’m hoping to at least drive by and honk for democracy out here in South Dakota!
Going to No Kings in Palm Springs.
I'll be in Cathedral City.
Don't know if it has a big enough population to help Spanberger and other Democrats, but Richmond city is solidly blue.

Especially, as is expected, the Red Court takes a hammer to what's left of the Voting Rights Act.
the family that reads polls together, stays together.
