Kristoffer, I laughed out loud in absolute glee at your descriptors as well as the real enthusiasm for actually winning the midterms. For example: 2025: “showing up to vote like someone told them the rent is due in 30 minutes“. Love it! Glad you’re posting on Lincoln Square so we have your guidance as we go forward.
All that being said, t. starting a war in Iran (what kind of insanity is that) will not deflect the publics interest in the Epstein files, the economy, t.'s health, his attempts to rig (steal) the fall elections, etc. etc. etc...way to many things to list here. And anyway we all know what they are, and most of us are totally fed up with tactics "invented" by the morons in the White House.
Trump is already running scared. His desperation is plain in almost everything he says and does. He is trying everything he can think of to stave off the Furies he knows are coming for him. It makes him both more vulnerable and more dangerous.
His cabinet enablers are also running scared. One example: Pam Bondi’s exhibition at her recent confrontation in the House was nothing if not an indication that she knows she’s hitched her wagon to a dark star and that she could well go down with him.
I make no predictions either. We are on unknown and dangerous ground.
Thank you, Kristoffer. I so needed to hear this. I have done a bit of table slapping when I have heard from the other end of the table, "Well, we need to be careful. We might get a worse Republican candidate than the one now in position." Like that worse candidate is a foregone conclusion. I didn't exactly yell after the hand slap, but in my most scary voice (I do have one.) I said the state dems. and government can do more. Let's use the power we have. etc... I have also heard people so disgusted with the dems. that they are walking away. I don't know where they are going--but away. What the "hey" walkers--not helpful. Plan and fight. And tell the world how we will hold the regime accountable. Keep yelling and also plan.
You put this out so well Prof. I have nothing to add except another big thank you. 😼❤️🙏
From your fingers to Schumer’s/Jeffries’ eyes. Spot on, Dem leadership needs a swift kick in the ass sometimes and the butter knives they carry to most fights replaced with brass knuckles. The dictator won’t see Christmas, either he croaks or, fingers crossed, tonight’s meltdown will ignite the movement to invoke the 25th. They can’t prop him up for much longer. Here in Virginia Dems are foolishly pushing a state constitutional amendment to temporarily redistrict in response to Texas. It’s unnecessary and a mistake, especially in light of last November,s resounding Democratic sweep of state government, and basically confirms much of what you’ve written about being stuck in the past. Your friend is also stuck, in binary land. There’s a third component to the voting population, and independent support for the regime has cratered to almost nothing. It’s these folks who make the difference, election after election. Black and Latino support across the board has dropped to 20%. White man, Black woman, both Democrat. Either has a great chance against the criminal currently Texas’ top cop.
Thank you for the article, Kristoffer. Today we are in political populism and not culture populism. Only this administration wants to live in both populism. President Andrew Jackson was not a hero. The Indian removal act Aka Trai of tears. To myself it was a brokered land deal for whites only! If you like Independent Journalism and Columnist please subscribe to Kristoffer Early.

The Dems need to fire their shitty consultants.
Yes yes yes!

So, speaking of a Democrat winning a very red seat, is anyone running against "Holy Mike Johnson"?

I was all ready to share this with my 6000+ network....until you included a photo of the Orange Rat Bastard.

I am a subscriber to Kristoffer's essays. He is thoughtful, intelligent, and clever. Thanks Kristoffer.
