The truest line: The United States does not have an “unlimited” supply of anything except debt, MAGA bots, and Trump mentions in the Epstein files.

Who says war can't go on forever? We never seem to learn - Korea, Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iraq, Ukraine, and now Iran. I was born during WW2 and have learned over the years that war seems to be a way of life. The root cause is political, but it's gotten worse since TACO Don came into office AND Congress has decided to sit on their asses and allow the "Orange Monster" to make their decisions with no consultation. There are two solutions to our current problems: 1) Impeach his demented highness (and his ABSOLUTELY worthless cabinet) and 2) Vote all the "ass sitters" out of office nine months from now. In the meantime-keep up the protests!!

Trump is the President but he is not responsible for anything. Americans will die—-so what!!! That’s war, says the Draft Dodger. Blame Israel! Blame the Democrats! Trash the Ukrainians! In addition, we have seen reports that Witkoff has not been truthful about his negotiations with the Iranians. Anyone know more about this?

When the entire operation is run by Keystone Kops.....

No, the Keystone Kops were good slapstick. This administration has gotten so pathetic I would crawl in a hole if I weren't so pissed off.

The Iranian Martyr Makes The Iranian War A Religious One: Inevitable Consequence Of CNPP

The murder to the aged cancer stricken Khomeni by Israeli forces has turned him into a Muslim martyr This has put our Nazi regime on the spot and in response Hegseth now says that this conflict is a religious one, Muslim vs Christianity/Jewish religions This makes this conflict a terrible, dangerous, reckless. emotional catastrophe There are many emotionally charged Shia Muslims in the Middle Eastern region who view the US Israeli warring coalition is creating a religious war Because of this this has the high probability of expanding to many nations in the region

The fascist Netanyahu has long wanted this moment because Iran through its terrorist groups Hamas, Hezbollah, and Houthis have always threatened his theocratic Jewish state As an oppressive warmongering far right Israeli government with the difficulty to give in to the need for a two state solution, this theocratic state has induced Cheeto’s Dept of War because they are equally warmongers

But the issue is that Netanyahu has coopted the American far right warmongers and it’s right up CNPP’s(Christian Nationalist Pedo Party) mission, to create a “Christian” nation standing up against all pagan states The moniker of CNPP is just an political excuse to create a fascist strongman, autocratic government As Parnas reports commanders are reportedly telling troops the Iran war is “all part of God’s divine plan,” with one noncommissioned officer alleging a commander said “President Trump has been anointed by Jesus to light the signal fire in Iran to cause Armageddon and mark his return to Earth”

I can't say I have a good argument when someone refers to him as the Anti-Christ.

Weapons systems are near the top of the list of what makes a formidable military. But even more important is the quality of the personnel. One component of that quality is morale. Here’s a quote from a complaint filed with the The Military Religious Freedom Foundation by an active duty service member who identified as a Christian.

“This morning our commander opened up the combat readiness status briefing by urging us to not be ‘afraid’ as to what is happening with our combat operations in Iran right now.

“He urged us to tell our troops that this was ‘all part of God’s divine plan’ and he specifically referenced numerous citations out of the Book of Revelation referring to Armageddon and the imminent return of Jesus Christ. He said that ‘President Trump has been anointed by Jesus to light the signal fire in Iran to cause Armageddon and mark his return to Earth’. He had a big grin on his face when he said all of this which made his message seem even more crazy.”

During the Reagan years, I spent five years on active duty in the Navy and never once was subjected to any talk of religion by my superiors. Had I been, I would have been angry and concerned and disgusted.

Maybe the good news is that our destruction is progressing so well it will finally be the catalyst for a brand new path.

I don't totally understand weapons of today, but I do know you need more than a "flintlock" to fight with now. The cost is high. The technology is higher. What it is all made from even higher or not available. Worse yet is the death and destruction of human life and its surroundings. And for what? The rich getting richer. I am ashamed of long-ago thoughts I had concerning the need to fight, etc. Now all I can think of are these words "...when will we ever learn?"..long time passing." I thought we had learned, but certainly not enough of us as yet have learned. Thanks, Rick, for laying it out so well.

So many great substack articles the last few days on military issues. Wow I have learned so much. Which of course then makes me sick when I listen to Trumpstein and Hagueseth. I am absolutely amazed to find all of this military information interesting. As a 72 year old Grandma, it has never been on my mind, other than philosophically. I don't plan to enlist, but I do expect to be a better listener and reader about what is going on. I want you to know how much I appreciate that. Your article on ammo is just fantastic, scary and fascinating. Thanks!!

Great article Rick. All I can do is shake my head. The ineptitude and incompetence and arrogance of Trump and Hegseth is beyond my comprehension. I hope the people who voted for Trump and the people who did not vote are happy with their decisions.

I was outraged by yet another insult lobbed at Zelensky, who is fighting for his country's life every day, week and year since Putin's war began. With not only lack of support from tRump, but assistance for the other side. Now tRump is fighting a country he couldn't find on a map, with no strategy, no firm motive, careless of the lives of his military, not to mention the Iranian People he couldn't give a flying fig about. He should have to send all his shiftless sons into the Mideast bases and let them count the armaments.

I still can't get over his disgraceful, casual dismissal of deaths of service members, saying "That's the way it is. Likely be more." I don't like to say this often, but just imagine the apoplexy of Republicans if Obama had said something like this about soldiers he sent to their death.

Glad someone is pointing this out. Thanks Rick.
