Get Rid Of The Evidence: Kill Everybody

What would happen if there are survivors of the Caribbean missile bombings? What would happen if there are testimonies from survivors about the people in these boats? What would happen if survivors could report about the purpose of these boats on the water?

No one knows the answers to these probing questions But Hegseth doesn’t want those answers apparently Maybe chronic alcoholic Hegseth wants to remain clueless about these boats and their occupants that are being blown up because he doesn't want Congress or the American people to know that people are being murdered by the US military and the Dept of Defense

These murders of survivors are “war crimes” and the International Court of Justice which has indicted Israel’s Netanyahu for his genocidal actions in Gaza and have openly opined that there are serious concerns about these US military actions amounting to murder

“…the nebbishy fauxhawk turned Secretary of State, whose entire brand is being the most sanctimonious guy in any room that contains a camera.” Says it all about Rubio.

You painted an informative and interesting picture of the incredible, morbid, and dangerous circus that we have been forced to buy a ticket to.

If the bank robbers never paid for their crimes, they would keep robbing banks. GOP is more afraid of maga than they are of fighting for justice, the rule of law and democracy. GOP congress is fine with white collar crimes but spend trillions on arresting people standing in a Home Depot parking lot. Hopefully dems continue to realize that fighting the monsters that keep people from being financially secure is good politics and that they don't suddenly forget the trump cabal crime syndicate once they hold the gavels...

So much corruption and greed in one place at the top of what government we have left which by this point isn't much. I think the most appalling thing is they are all on the same page. They are literally getting NOTHING DONE. It's like the Wizard of Oz behind the curtain. They talk big and fail at about every turn. I guess that's what happens when you hire relatives, sycophants and loyalists instead of capable able people to run your government. Yes indeed it's run like a "family" business with nepotism at the top of the game and sycophants a close second.

even more galling is how brazen it all is. they hide none of what they're doing anymore—they're not afraid of voters, public opinion. I heard long ago that the Gilded Age was referred to as "the great barbecue" because it was such a carrion feast for the oligarchs of the era. this is, a century plus later, when they've come back for seconds.

There is a common link from which all of the lawlessness originates, and that is the John Roberts' immunity ruling. Through unlimited pardoning power, presidential immunity thereby extends to all of his co-conspirators, including his army of thugs that attacked the capital. I wonder is their threat is why Congressional Republicans are cowering. I marvel at how fast the outrage over the immunity ruling has dissipated. As long as the root of this evil persists, we are playing whack-a-mole against the corruption and lawlessness that stems from it. I'm tiring of all the articles about corruption and the hundreds of lawsuits that only stall the inevitable defeat in the Supreme Court. Where is the plan to deal with the root of this evil? I see none.

Despite the risk of being branded as a troll, I'll keep reminding each commentator who ignores this fundamental issue of presidential immunity and root cause of this tsunami of criminality. Repealing Roe seemed a fantasy until it wasn't. We need to muster the same resolve and persistence with regard to the abuse of power and assault on the Constitution by the Roberts court. Presidential immunity should be our "Roe" to be attacked with the same vigor and from every possible angle from impeachment, to Article II, Section 2, to inciting rage in the voters. The court must realize that their only enforcement power is acceptance by the people, and that has limits when it's six versus 347,000,000.

The case is simple. If the American Revolution is not enough, Federalist 69's 4th paragraph makes it clear beyond a shadow of a doubt that presidential immunity was anathema to the founders, and it's omission was intentional and vital to the ratification of the Constitution. Therefore, the addition of presidential immunity is an unconstitutional amendment by the court. Lawyers should resist any debate on any value, even necessities, for immunity because no amount of value for it could make it constitutional without an amendment.

As much as I admire and support the Lincoln Project, I find it too myopic regarding defeating Trump. Vance is less greedy and stupid and more committed to Project 2025, which calls itself a second American Revolution. I call that treason. I don't want that kingly immunity in the hands of someone more competent. The weed keeps growing until you pull it up by the root, and the root of this coup is immunity.

"I marvel at how fast the outrage over the immunity ruling has dissipated...Despite the risk of being branded as a troll, I'll keep reminding each commentator who ignores this fundamental issue of presidential immunity and root cause of this tsunami of criminality." Dissipated among who? I wake up every single day disgusted by what Trump has done since January 20, and that includes pardoning his entire Jan. 6 goon squad. Your anger is legitimate, but what's your solution? What is your big idea? I know what I'm doing every week, as someone without wealth or power, which includes posting in threads like these, even though I'm aware that I'm talking to the choir. That said, do you have any idea what it's like when one of your senators is Ron Johnson? He's mine. If we couldn't vote him out in a free and fair election, what are we to do?

His immunity and his pardon power are hamstringing our country and our ability to get justice and hold people accountable. There is no precedent for subduing his powers of pardon. That will be an uphill battle. The immunity must be reversed. I have to believe that at least some of the right wing SCOTUS sees this.

Getting into the ICC would require the president to first make the proposal, then it has to be voted in by 60%. I wouldn't hold onto hope with this administration.

Thank you Rick. They are not even bothering to hide their scam. What’s wring either America? Is it too big a stretch to care about the people of Ukraine or is it just easier to go with Fox News? Putin’s investment in Trump is paying off. He won’t stop with Ukraine.

Stunningly written... thank you... where is Project 2025 Heritage & Federalists in all of this carnage? Is this their goal? If so, why? Throwing this country into the 10th century doesn't get them where they want to be it just gets them uneducated slaves to somehow manage the fields. Where are doctors scientists etc to help with the modern structures of society? These war criminals all want robocops but what they have are humans obeying orders who will question what they are dying for...may there be people, now, who are in the military and still believe and defend our constitution even though we gave them a bad hand in this fight...

Thank you, Mr.Wilson. I am coming to view the conservative wing of SCOTUS as perhaps criminally liable here for their arrogant stupidity in ignoring the warnings of the Founding Fathers and ignoring the behavior they saw in djt’s First Reich.

"The only question left is whether anyone in Congress, in the courts, or among our allies will treat this for what it is, and not just another episode in the never-ending Trump reality show" Rick writes near the end of this piece. And that's the thing: what is to be done with all of this? Sure, the polls show Trump's popularity is tanking, but also, that 80-some percent of Republican voters still support him. That's not exactly repudiation. Elections in 2026 to halt Trump's corruption and criminality? What's to stop this authoritarian creep from canceling elections? No one seems to have been able to stop him since January 20 of this year. Whenever we think Trump can't possibly go lower, he goes lower.
