Iran is double the size of Ukraine (which is the largest European country) and they have twice the population. Half of Iran consists of really tall mountains, the tallest is 18,000 feet and there is very rugged terrain, it's an insurgent army's dream.
Then think about how Putin's war against Ukraine has gone. He too thought it was going to be a 3 day war and he'd have regime change. Here we are 5 years later with 1.3 million Russian dead and severely wounded.
It will be worse for the US if Trump and Kegsbreath are stupid enough to invade Iran with ground troops.
Is Iraq Next? Saw this headline buried in a laundry list of items: "Trump administration blocks $500 million to Iraq, stops security cooperation programs." Sounds like the administration is renegging on a long established agreement? Do you know?
I got grief from a Trump supporter when I called the U.S. "negotiating team" of Vance, Whitless, or Whitkoff and Kushner like sending the Three Stooges to sue for peace. What could go wrong??
Vance, Whitless, and Witkoff are exponentially worse than the Three Stooges.
At least with the Three Stooges you're not dealing with a bunch of incompetent corrupt stooges.
Kushner has corrupt deals all over the Middle East - trading his access to Trump for billions of dollars. Witkoff was doing side business deals with Putin while he was supposedly negotiating a peace deal between Russia and Ukraine, and Witkoff's scheming sons are the prime suspects in the insider trading crimes happening around Trump's announcements regarding his Iran war. Vance is owned lock stock and barrel by Thiel and the Tech-bros and he does what's in their interest and his own interest over the best interests of the American people. Plus Vance is so clueless he's too lame to negotiate his way of getting a good deal on a sack of apples at a farmer's market.
It's hard to imagine three worse dopes to be negotiating for the US up against the Iranians who have been at this for decades.

There is a book that I am reading currently called: The War that Ended Peace, The Road to 1914; written by Margaret McMillan. It is a fairly informative book of the political and world events that led up to WWI, from 1870-ish through the start of the First World War.
I do. But only as an adult and only going solo. Because you can go up the solo line, which runs much faster than the groups line. But - it's been more than 20 years since I tested that theory. This is only D-Land. Never been to D-World.

Over decades of policies to ravage the principle that all men/women are created equal and aided by the likes of the John Birch Society, Reagan’s demand to cut social safety net programs, and Clarence Thomas’ corruption of SCOTUS, today’s conservative movement has become a fascist haven for the plutocratic wealthy class(Musk, Theil, Karp) willing to strike any corrupt deal that furthers their ends(Cheeto, Jared, Don Jr)
WE the People have slowly unconsciously witnessed the wealthy take over our country and turn it into a quagmire of corruption and graft It’s time to wake up and demand a equality and restore accountability
