Well, it’s freezing in Florida and the temperature there isn’t the only thing falling. Rick and Andrew come out of the gate focused on how support for ICE continues to fall across the country.
Andrew notes right-wing Influencers are trying to compare the death of Renee Nicole Good with that of Ashli Babbit during the January 6 Insurrection. The difference? “This is a street murder, by a federal agency, in front of the whole country, and people have reacted extraordinarily negative to this, which is no surprise.”
Rick and Andrew discuss what best action to take in combatting the draconian actions of ICE as they continue to brutalize communities. While they warn against the “Abolish ICE” framing, they said the message should be: “Reform it, stop it, freeze it, fix it. … Cut off the funding until they stop murdering American citizens.”
And ICE is just one of the many issues the American people have with Trump. According to a new AP-NORC poll, people don’t feel his priorities are in the right place.
“He’s hyper focused on the Kennedy Center, for example … but he’s not focused on cost of living, he’s not focused on healthcare, he doesn’t give a shit about that stuff,” Andrew notes.
