Trump’s ICE Police State and the Race to Stop It
The time to rise up and protest is now.
Trump isn’t hiding it anymore. He’s not even trying to.
He wants to build ICE into something we’ve never seen before in this country — a federally funded, militarized police force with one mission: instill fear. Not keep the peace. Not protect communities. But crush dissent. Round people up. Intimidate anyone who stands in the way.
And he’s got the money now. Billions of dollars in what he calls his “Big Beautiful Bill.” It’s not just about walls or border security. It’s about power. Control. Silence.
Trump is racing to build this machine. The question is: Can we move faster?
This is the moment. The line in the sand. Either we organize now — or we live in a country where fear becomes the law of the land.
We need a movement. Not tomorrow. Not after the next news cycle. Now.
Because when ICE is fully built into Trump’s dream — armed, bloated, answerable to no one — it will be too late to stop it in the streets. Too late to raise your voice when silence is what they’re counting on. Too late to realize that what you thought could never happen here is already happening — just a little more each day.
People said it wouldn’t happen the first time. That he was bluffing. That the courts, the media, the system would hold. But children were caged. Families were torn apart. Troops were deployed against protesters. And now, he’s planning the sequel — and this time he’s not improvising. He’s building it. With billions budgeted, foreign-based gulags, due process out the window and of course, lists of who to go after.
We are in a race. And the clock is ticking.
The only thing that can beat a machine is a movement. Millions of people, standing up, showing up — in every city, every town, every neighborhood. Peacefully. Proudly. Loudly. Before fear takes root so deeply that people start looking over their shoulders just for speaking out.
We need numbers. We need visibility. We need people who’ve never marched to get off the sidelines and into the streets. Because the streets are where democracy lives — and where, if we don’t act now, it is where it will die.
That’s how authoritarians work: Build the infrastructure first, make people afraid to resist, and then dare them to try. It’s why the resistance has to grow even faster now and we can.
It will take time for ICE to recruit and build Trump’s police state. We win this fight by using every second of every day of that time to grow an insurmountable opposition movement that is so large, so visible, and so loud that sending in ICE to stop us will only inspire more American Patriots to join us.
Millions of American Patriots have participated in No Kings and other protests. We are growing but we need to move faster — together, we can become the one thing Trump can’t move fast enough to stop:
It’s a race between fear and courage.
We are patriots, not spectators.
We are patriots for democracy if we choose to be.
We are democracy.
And democracy refuses to go silently.
Stand up, America.

How bad have Trump's first 100 days been? Don't ask the Canadian conservatives, either. New PRRI data shows that crucial parts of Trump's coalition aren't just eroding — they might already be gone. And why it's not just about "democracy being on the line" — what key question do 52% of Americans already agree on? Stick around to the end for some classic …
Thanks, Joe. I felt everyone was getting distracted with Epstein. Not sure what I can do except keep trying to get more to show up for rallies---as well as getting them to pay attention to "this" inconvenient truth of the ICE Police State. Scary times are here.
One of the things that's become blindingly clear lately is that the next Democratic administration MUST make reforming the Supreme Court a top priority. Trump wouldn't be getting away with shipping people off to third world gulags and war zones were it not for this MAGA court running interference for him. They wouldn't let Joe Biden forgive student loans, but they're allowing Trump to dismantle the DOE and run American concentration camps.
In the meantime, retaking the house and possibly the senate next year has to be job #1. Taking back the house would definitely slow down Trump's destruction of America, but taking both the house and the senate would grind him to a halt.
