Telling the truth, the way it is. Some of the people in Europe in the 1930's must have felt this way. Millions of others would have thought that Hitler, Mussolini and Stalin were bringing order to the world. And righteousness. Including some religious leaders. Millions died on all sides. And afterwards...I have heard people say, "I didn't vote for him.!" But here we are. I keep fighting, I vote, but I try daily to believe our country will ever return to the stories I was told of our greatness, as a child.
I think that America needs its version of a fatwa against those who are trying to destroy
American rule of law, the Constitution, and which includes those anti-Americans in all three branches of government who are trying to subvert democracy. We can get them as easily as they think they can get us. Pitchforks, sleeper cells, drones.

Capital Police were awesome, smiling, The moderators of the event THANKED THEM - thanked the police at the end of the rally ! That is how the 1st Amendment works! The policewoman smiled and nodded back! A true professional - who even knows what her politics are? Respect!

Colossal tariff wall that is the beginning of the end for the system of down. At first the beast will pull the plug out of the global economy. The worst financial crisis of human history will pull a swarm of the banks underwater and the bank run begins. Then the beast will collapse a mountain of debt shattering the backbone of the monetary system causing a systemic risk to realize. Finally the beast will cast American citizens into a system slavery under the name of Ronald Wilson Reagan, just to "honor his legacy" count the number. After the destruction a new world order will be established in the US. And the Golden Age begins from the ruins of the world wide collapse. All of the system slaves will love it. No more cash - just digital transactions. No more traditional criminal activity. No more tax evasion. No more transactions without the "all seeing eye". Outcasts will hate the world without freedom, hope and privacy. To cover up the mess and distract the public by smoke and mirrors, the beast will engage in a war with Iran. Lies and deceit, corruption and decay, dancing on the graves will continue. Until; Black hole sun, won't you come, won't you come... I want to play a game. Time has come to opt out of the empire of filth. Live or die...

America is becoming the new Hungary - Orban. Project 2025 becoming the law of the land. Democracy in America gone before 250 years. Most countries die from the inside and that is exactly what is happening to America. The ones that care are fighting and the ones that do not have a clue what is happening, or like the Anti-American Republicans are working to end American Democracy, to them have been and are being brainwashed into believing this is all good for them until it is too late to stop any of it. And once it is here probably the only way back is to actively drive them out, because the rule of law only applies in favor of the oppressors the rest have become prisoners in their own land.
This is a time when I am happy to realize I am at the end of my life. My family on 3 sides came to this country prior to the American Revolution. They overwhelmingly fought to maintain the Republic during the civil war. The families were not ever wealthy landowners and generation after generation have been law abiding citizens who worked hard and loved their country.
The forces that have strived for over 85 years to turn back the Republic and the thriving democracy we have all enjoyed have seemingly found a way to move ahead their fascist agenda. Most likely, many of them decry authoritarian governments, but think anything is justified to,have a country run the way they believe it should be. Congress and the Courts have abandoned democracy for political Will and power. What we are leaving for future generations at this point in time is very sad.
The real issue at hand is the apathy that many voters have. I know people who do not vote because they do not “support” either party. They make one excuse after the other. That is what truly makes me sad! These people are most likely responsible for the country’s demise and do not even realize it, but blame everyone else. So very sad that once it is gone, democracy seldom ever makes a comeback!

Most of us don't want a king, but we have some who do. Yes, they are misguided, yes they believe the end justifies any means, and yes, their views don't hold up to themselves. They believe in American ideals only as they support their agenda items. They won't admit it, but they are burn it to the ground folks for the American Constitution, government, people, and history, if they aren't agreeing with their own limited world view. Like the congress they haven't read the MAga bill, or Project 2025, their "faith" is so blind, that they would follow off a cliff and then like dear Leader, either blame or deny. We are zombies, the walking dead, being shunted down that alley and up into this dead end, staggering, stumbling, stuff falling off. We have become putrid through growing ignorance. Ironically, the more we can know, the more facts we have and can "unpack," "deep dive," "break down," all those buzzwords du jour. But our mass ignorance, thy name is MAGA/FOX, has drowned us. I believe I have overloaded and might take the rest of the day off, delete all my emails from my subscriptions w/o reading, commenting, liking, restacking, and just eff it. I'm reminded of an old phrase describing futility: It's like shoveling sand against the tide with a teaspoon. The goons have captured the ratings. I thought I could outlive this crap. We'll see.

All of these Substacks and it seems nothing is getting thru to the lazy ones who watch only Fox (et al), ignore their constituents (Congress), or plainly can’t take the time/effort to read even those both-sideism newspapers (WaPo, NYT et al). There are millions of us — how do we break thru to make a difference? (BTW, please everyone stay safe — and away from FOTUS’ debacle — at a No Kings Day (or other) protest.
