Hubby and I live just outside of Portland, about 15 miles from the city center. I can assure you - 100% - that there is virtually no violence, nothing even remotely like anarchy and Portland is not on fire. It’s laughable to even comment that we’re some kind of “war zone”.
That WH putz is just looking to pick a fight (talk about bullying someone smaller than you!) and hoping that Portland will react. And if just one person does react he will double down on the whole “war zone radicals” claim - a claim that is pure nonsense - and I know I don’t really have to tell you all that. You know.

I fdems only had the spine of dem voters. I heard Mark Kelly on Colbert and he was almost embarrassing as he tried to explain why the dems were leaning to a shutdown. Talking about ACA increases, which only 16% of Americans, so it isn't a widespread issue that draws in 84% instead of 16%. Dems cannot sell water to thirsty people in the desert. Corporate dems are still writing strongly worded letters as trump does his daily screed on social media and musk incites violence and hate against dems. Dems need new blood that can fight and not go into flight. Unfortunately, corporate dems have their same hands out to the same dirty donors as republicans. Each day d a congressional dem needs to stand outside the Capitol and have a press conference about how trump and republicans are destroying the economy, and America's standing in the world. Republicans are repulsive fascists but dems are weak and feeble.
As dems write letters and white papers, repubs lie about everything. Dems are ALWAYS on defense and can't get a message out before the lie is set in stone. Such a helpful and insightful conversation. Old as I am, I have some growing up to do. I think gun owners need to buy insurance like a car driver does. They need to qualify for a license just like you do for a driver license. And if you make a mistake with your license you pay heavily and or go to jail. JFC, you even have to buy an F*ing fishing license. Really? Your gun serial number needs to be registered just like your stinking vehicle registration number.
