"America is in grave danger, so much so that the Trump administration has invoked the Alien Enemies Act of 1798 to justify shipping legal American residents to foreign torture gulags." Worst is yet to come. Donald "The Beast" Trump is building a wall once again. Colossal tariff wall that is the beginning of the end for the system of down. At first the beast will pull the plug out of the global economy. The worst financial crisis of human history will pull a swarm of the banks underwater and the bank run begins. Then the beast will collapse a mountain of debt shattering the backbone of the monetary system causing a systemic risk to realize. Finally the beast will cast American citizens into a system slavery under the name of Ronald Wilson Reagan, just to "honor his legacy" count the number. After the destruction a new world order will be established in the US. And the Golden Age begins from the ruins of the world wide collapse. All of the system slaves will love it. No more cash - just digital transactions. No more traditional criminal activity. No more tax evasion. No more transactions without the "all seeing eye". Outcasts will hate the world without freedom, hope and privacy. To cover up the mess and distract the public by smoke and mirrors, the beast will engage in a war with Iran. Lies and deceit, corruption and decay, dancing on the graves will continue. Until; Black hole sun, won't you come, won't you come... I want to play a game. Time has come to opt out of the empire of filth. Live or die...

It is completely outrageous what Musk did to help Russia in 2022 by turning off Starlink. For that act alone the US should nationalize this satellite system. Of course it can’t be accomplished until we have a rational government again, and who knows if that will ever happen.

Since when have the Democrats used ANY of the power they have. They act like frightened rabbits. Lincoln Project needs to ass ume power from Democrat leadership by hostile takeover.....cause that party is too stupid, entrenched, arrogant and rigid to adapt to realities and succeed.

I've always bemoaned why Biden didn't nationalize SpaceX & Starlink....but I realized he is your typical risk averse establishment moderate Democrat more accustomed to losing to the right wing than making bold moves to stir things up. Perhaps the paranoid Dems are fearful (and they always fear something) that the right wing will accuse them of being......SOCIALIST! Dear heavens!...anything but that!!! 😅

Another option would be to pour money into United Launch Alliance (ULA) and Blue Origin (yes, I know Bezos has his own baggage... but he's not Musk). We need more option for access to space.

I sure wish you would be a message advisor to the Dems—ads, words, chutzpah, in-your-faceness, etc.

Great job guys, but your present header statement (Please consider amplifying this post. When more Americans are informed, the more will mobilize and take action. Thank you.) really doesn't work syntactically. Here are two options for fixing it: 1. 'Please consider amplifying this post. When more Americans are informed, then more will mobilize and take action. Thank you.'; or 2. 'Please consider amplifying this post. 'The more Americans are informed, the more they will mobilize and take action. Thank you.'

One batshit crazy person calling another batshit crazy person crazy has little meaning. "I'm Napoleon and you're an imposter, Kaiser Wilhelm!"

Nationalization is not necessarily (meaning NOT) the answer. If THIS president can put in his cronies to run it without external oversite, then it's just as, perhaps more so, dangerous than under Elon. Truly binding laws, binding both on Musk and Trump, could, maybe, ease this issue. But Trump has already demonstrated that he doesn't think any law applies to him or his administration, so there you are. Musk can have his little tech bros find workarounds that make it appear all is well as he steers the Titanic directly at the iceberg.

Personally I think its all a ruse....Putinnadvised D to cause a distraction. The punditry is taking sides tween 2 authoritarians if you can believe that bullcrap. We never learn do we. If D 'wins' because 'nobody voted for Elon'! than Trump assumes more consolidated power and we lose. So between media repeating phrase..'Big beautiful Bill' & then rooting for Donny vs. Elon....they've been played.

thank you, Stuart, this is so good. ever since first hearing that Musk had his tentacles so firmly wrapped around our national security I've been baffled: how did we get ourselves into being so dependent on a single individual? even if it were someone sane and stable, it would be insane and wildly irresponsible. do we know how we got here? we gotta know so we can prevent it ever happening again. that the most powerful nation in the world dances to the whims of a drug-addled baby man boggles the mind.

So, agree, Stuart. The only "invasion" in our country is the lack of intelligence, humanity and forethought by the Republicans. I had no idea about the power of Starlink and SpaceX in one man's hands. Not sure why it didn't dawn on me when Elon denied Starlink to the Ukrainians in 2022. This is a real danger to our security. Well, everyone's security.

Too soon I think. Let’s first see if Elon and Trump slog it out. Never interfere when your enemy is making errors.

So disappointed to hear my Lincoln Square friends say Musk is crazy; he may be, but your comments support that TRUMP is not the crazy one. Musk is FAR more intelligent, makes full sentences with a far more extensive vocabulary, and is being at least to a degree honest about Trump's Big Bullshit Bill. You are helping the MAGA crowd defend Trump in all things the two collaborated on: MAGA and Republican politicians will use Musk as scapegoat for all Trump's sins since Jan 20th. USA has never had a president who behaved in such a manner. Any Democratic-leaning person needs to clearly label and promote the fact that this embarrassing, childish fight between these two mega-egos to our best advantage, to show how incompetent Trump is. Instead too many are allowing this to actually strengthen Trump. Nationalizing SpaceX and Starlink supports that Trump has the power to grab assets! All the on-going rocket activity is costing too much and achieving very little in face of our most pressing problems that needs the entire globe working together as ADULTS.
