If there are mass protests (especially in Democratic led states), it will give the Dictator cover for invoking using troops or National Guard to put down the “insurrections.”

A Republican run Congress is just a rubber stamp for anything Trump wants to do.

The Roberts radical SCOTUS has all but given him dictatorial powers, exempting him from accountability for criminal acts, as long as they are within the scope of his “official duties.”

How does the country strike back at this? The NAZIS gained total control when the judiciary gave their leader dictatorial power. There was no chance of ridding Germany of the genocidal maniac when he was so entrenched

The biggest problem is not Trump. It is what we have become.

Peter Headscratch probably wrote his manly speech in his Pentagon makeup room. The speech had the hallmarks of a speech you’d expect from a shallow thinker concerned that people thought he lacked “the manly virtues.” Prissy Pete’s and Dementia Don’s speeches aside, the leadership of the US military is now faced with a conundrum: do I follow the orders of an unhinged President and his executive staff and violate the oath I swore to the to the US Constitution.

Too bad this terrifying “wake the F up America” article can’t be the top cover story of every major newspaper, opener on the national news…oh that’s right. Most of them have already been bought out by oligarchs, are bowing in fear to the regime, and about half of the adults in the US read below middle school level. Forget my silly suggestion.

I might have made a comment listing and applauding your many fine points, or another adding the equivalent of a line of barf emojis in echo of your observations about this regime (followed by two lines of the scared shitless emoji), but I didn't. What I did instead was subscribed to your substack so I don't miss a single one of your posts, which are life rafts for my sanity and my soul.

The constant verbal onslaught against women should piss me off. ... but it's so overdone, so unimaginative, so ... banal. I haven't heard anything new since I became aware that men and women are different. Women must tolerate men even as men find it impossible to tolerate women. Except, of course, to procreate. Then they really really tolerate women ... for a while.

The other thing about constantly belittling women is the lack of need to differentiate. All women, no matter race, creed, or color, can be broadbrushed with the same endless insults. Meh.

That men with limited intelligence and even more limited imagination can only perceive women as tools to be used for the purpose of procreation and other unpaid services says a lot more about them than it does about us! Not meh, Blechh.
