The First 100 Days: Betrayal, Failure, and the Destruction of a Great America
Donald Trump envisions himself as a king. But his first 100 days — and sinking poll numbers — prove that he’s hardly infallible.
The first 100 days of Donald Trump as the “ruler of America and the World” has resulted in more Americans waking up to his betrayals, his failures and his wrecking of the trust our allies around the world once had in us.
Instead of making America great again, he’s wrecking it.
And for those who take umbrage at calling Trump an authoritarian ruler or king, take it from the king himself as he told the Atlantic in an interview just released.
“The first time, I had two things to do — run the country and survive; I had all these crooked guys,” he told The Atlantic. “And the second time, I run the country and the world.”
So let's take a look at how his regime is doing.
The man who now believes he runs the world told us he would end the war in Ukraine before he was sworn in as president. Big words; big promise. The reality? Screaming at President Zelenskyy and siding with Putin has only resulted in threatening the security of Europe and made the world a more dangerous place.
The man who now believes he runs the world has launched a worldwide trade war with a stroke of his pen. Calling it “Liberation Day!” he announced “the highest and most beautiful Tariffs ever!” There are few signs that the world he runs is cooperating or following orders (unlike his supporters in Congress and the Senate who bow to him).
Instead, travel to the United States from other countries is in rapid decline. Prices and the cost of living for Americans are going up. How much pain can the world economy and the American people take? He doesn’t care. He’s the King who assures his serfs ‘tis but a bit of pain that will be necessary for all of us to bear for a while.
The man who now believes he runs America and the World told us he would lower food prices and end inflation on day one — and then told us after taking office that lowering prices would be hard. Eggs were not following orders, either.
The betrayal and failures go on and on. The man who now believes he runs America and the World promised an economic “boom, like no other” (his words) in his first hundred days. And true to the words of King Trump it has been explosive. The worst stock market declines in the first 100 days of any President in modern history.
The man who now believes he runs America and the World ignores court orders, has thrown out due process — the right to have your day in court to plead your case before he sends you or anyone to a gulag in El Salvador. Maybe you are a member of a gang or a murderer, but the days of the government having to prove it before sentencing you are over. Here again the mad King is angry at courts that are interfering with his orders. His minions have now taken to arresting judges.
The man who now believes he runs America and the world has put Elon Musk in charge of the Department of Government Efficiency. An unelected billionaire in charge of cutting and gutting whole departments that serve the American people in the name of saving money. Trillions would be saved! Instead, the safety and health of millions of Americans has been put at risk while the actual spending of the U.S. government under King Trump continues to rise.
And the American people are waking up to the dangers of a President who believes he runs America and the World.
The recent ABC poll found the following:
57% of respondents disapprove of Trump’s management of the federal government.
58% say Trump is not looking out for the interests of average Americans.
61% disapprove of Trump’s handling of the economy.
61% disapprove of U.S. relations with other countries.
64% disapprove of Trump’s Tariffs.
66% oppose shutting down the Department of Education.
66% oppose Trump’s executive order ending birthright citizenship.
67% disapprove of Trump’s impact on the stock market.
77% oppose the reduction of federal funding of medical research.
These are huge numbers of disapproval and opposition to the man who now believes he runs America and the World.
So what is the King’s response?
I kid you not, this was reported this morning:
“President Donald Trump has said pollsters that have shown his approval ratings sliding in recent weeks should be investigated for ‘election fraud.’ Trump cited recent polls from The New York Times, ABC News/The Washington Post, and Fox News, which put his approval rating on 42 percent, 39 percent, and 44 percent, respectively.”
I have been saying this for months. Now is not the time to play dead. Now is the time to get loud in opposition to the man who believes he runs America and the world.
He does all of this in our name: betraying our allies, failing the very people who voted for him along with the rest of us who did not, taking a wrecking ball to our courts, our government, our rights and policies that are leading to the destruction of America’s standing in the world, a standing that millions of American gave their lives and livelihoods to build.
Generations of Americans built our country’s greatness, and even with its flaws, they never believed there would ever be a time that a sitting president of the United States of America would say the words spoken now by Donald Trump “I run America and the World.”
They never believed we would turn the power of this great nation and put it in the hands of a King who would unleash his madness on the world and America itself.
And they would never have believed that the King would have supporters in the People’s House and the Senate who would bow to such a president instead of stopping him — out of fear or a craving for power they would enable him.
What past generations of Americans would have believed, as I do, is that the American people would awaken to the dangers of such a man and take a stand against him.
Donald Trump does not run America. The American people still do.
Resist and refuse.
Stand up, America.

Joe Trippi and Alex Shashlo discuss how Trump has upended today’s Canadian elections thanks to his boneheaded tariffs and insistence that the Great White North should be the 51st state. The 21st Century Nazi Cult of the Far Right
The far right in the US has had a long history of its association with dictators with punishment and suppression of universities due to their left wing tendencies JD Vance who has surrounded himself with far right high tech billionaires eg Musk and Theil, has said that these universities with large endowments need to be punished by taxation for the simple reason that they don’t conform to the radical right wing fascist rhetoric Vance has also asserted in an interview that dissenting companies need to feel economic pain Perhaps this is why so many wealthy companies are trying to curry favor with the current Nazi regime, calling for extraconstitutional solutions with aggressive and robust behavior Frequently Vance has said that the country is in a late republican period meaning the days of democracy are over and we need to move to a dictatorship As his friend Curtis Yarvin has said Americans need to get over their “dictatorphobia” https://bit.ly/3BrXePA and https://bit.ly/3BlFKEk
This is a guy who is vice president and would be the Nazi nominee for the president in 2028
Absolutely: Resist and Refuse.
