What do you make of this 2-week hiatus and separation of DHS funding? Did Schumer just give away the leverage again? When leaders say we have to rally together, I think that means we can’t criticize any of our leaders. I think young people are not going to buy it… (I am 82 — everyone’s young to me) So, Stuart, do we have to just “take” what the party apparatus is doing? Stuart, I’m always calmed by your broadcasts. Noem & Miller should be prosecuted at the State level. These thugs told me, with my frightened grandchild standing with me…my home address in the parking lot of a Noodles & Co in Twin Cities. What did I do? I took a pic of two cars they exited. Both were Minnesota licensed and had “whiskey plates”. Meaning they or a family member residing in their home. It’s a “probable cause” plate for habitual drunk drivers. Typically these plates require a user to blow into an ignition starter. I’m not surprised they can scan my plate for my license or that ICE would hire a person with a drunk driving record.
How can the ordinary person like me help stop this? I protest and call useless lawless maga Senators like people elected in Florida, you are talking to a rock!

We need to go to detention centers, get the children out immediately and return them to vetted family members. Move adults to places where humane treatment is possible. Most detention centers are reported to be squalid hells. Then start interviewing the adults; find out who they are and what their status is. After verifying that, If they have legal status and have committed no crimes, they should be released.
Prosecute the people who are guilty of human rights violations, i.e., the detention of innocent people and of children in these terrible conditions.
Kristi Noem & Steven Miller need to be charged with crimes against humanity. Stealing people off the streets, taking their children, wrecking cars on purpose, rushing at harmless protesters with bear spray, Trump has zero control or influence over his staff.
Oh, he has control all right; they just know that he is perfectly okay with ALL OF IT. He absolutely doesn’t care if they beat, rape, & murder people. He is a malignant narcissist & a sociopath or antisocial personality disorder; whatever the diagnostic manuals are calling it these days. It is the same combination of personality disorders that serial killers have. Do not believe for one second that he is stepping back, de-escalating, or changing a damned thing; he likes what is happening & wants to see more of it.
I’m with you Stewart. But it’s time for collective public action. We need to apply formal public on Congress now! Not from opinion polls, the stock market, or headlines. We need a formal national signature petition to congress to start impeachment proceedings on Trump and his administration.
Abuse of power and violent coercion of violation of civil liberties for starters?
Congress can act more quickly than drawn out court cases.
