I’ve loved Mallory ever since seeing her viral “I am a straight white Christian mother” speech. It’s so refreshing when someone can cut through the bs and say things so clearly. Please run for higher office, Mallory! (Your anecdote about being sexually harassed right after the anti-harassment training reminded me of some of those trainings I attended. Somebody always felt compelled to share an inappropriate joke afterwards.)
So glad that I made time for this. Maya is always amazing and together with Mallory was brilliant. I will get the book as I have been telling my partner that I want to focus on hyper local issues and community building in our wonderful urban neigbhorhood. We have an incredible all volunteer board and lots of excellent events. Being involved during these world on fire times helps me tremendously. I feel so fortunate to live where I do where so many love our neighborhood. I grew up like Mallory did and my neighborhood now is the closest I have come to recreating that and it will only get better with our work. Thanks Lincoln Square for all that you do!!!!
