I think the word “affordable” is an important platform to run on. Affordable housing, affordable healthcare, affordable childcare, affordable food, affordable transportation, affordable elder care and reasonable immigration laws and you’ve got yourself a BIG win,

Love all of this stuff and I hope the Dems get back in and at least a third of them make all of it happen. Especially the acquisition of SpaceX and Starlink, after all "HE" was the one that bought the election that put TACO Man back in power and he deserves "Just" desserts!

Stuart: your "manifesto" to Democrats ought to be scotch-taped to the forehead of every Democratic pol in the nation, local to federal. I agree: it's time to get down and dirty, to call out the madness for what it is and to making winning the prize, not the possibility. Thank you for this post; it made me smile with gratitude. Now. Who's got the scotch tape?

Presidental power must be reduced, I think an elected Prime Minister with a division of powers plus votes of no confidence by Congress trigger snap elections like in other Western Democracies. Eliminate Citizens United and the Electoral College. SCOTUS expanded to 13 and have term limits and an enforceable code of conduct. Expand the Senate to 200 with an additional Senator for every 3 million citizens and largest Metro areas, DC and Puerto Rico having a Senator or two. Pass the John Lewis Voting Rights Act. Codify Roe vs Wade.

On one thing we must agree: we are the 99% who are not billionaires (at least, I'm not).

We need fewer ICE agents and more immigration judges and infrastructure.

Democratic leadership MUST transition from the old to the new. Our tribe is fragmented. Our ‘big tent’ means respect for all—but it also breeds division through purity tests.

Fun(!) Fact: In every election, between 80 and 100 million eligible voters make this choice: THEY DON'T VOTE. We must tap this bloc.

Run on 3 CHANGES: Healthcare for All, Fair Economy, and Fair Taxes. MAKE SOME PROMISES. Convince them it is their best interests to vote for us.

I think the word is “affordable”. The word fair continues the “us” vs “them” narrative that people are tired of. Affordable housing, affordable healthcare, affordable childcare, affordable food, affordable transportation, affordable elder care and reasonable immigration laws and you’ve got yourself a BIG win,
