Today, we remember the ultimate sacrifice that thousands of U.S. troops made in fighting for democracy. It's a mantle that Ukrainians have proudly taken up — and they deserve our support.

I am so thankful for what you are doing for Ukraine, showing them that Americans stand with them. It is an outrage that our present regime is with the aggressor. I pray that the brave Ukrainians win, and send the Russian bear back into his hole.
Just took down my "Ukranian Christmas tree" decorated with Sunflowers. Poor little tree was on it's last legs (after 6 months), but the Sunflowers are staying in my planter box.
I am observing Memorial Day with a deep sadness and shame that we have allowed our country to become what our families have fought and died to prevent. My father, his friends, family were patriots. They answered the call to serve and if necessary die to eradicate fascism and authoritarianism. Over 540,000 Americans were killed in WWII. They definitely were not losers or suckers. I had family in the horrific Pacific campaigns, landing at Omaha, Utah, and Gold beaches, one climbed Point Du Hoc. They were at Okinawa, Saipan, The Hurtgen Forest, the Hedge Rows and the Bulge. They were no cowards, the same can’t be said about our current ‘leader’. They and our military deserve respect, not the abuse and waste they are receiving. It’s past time for a vast change in our leadership and the politics of America. Over the past 16 months we have witnessed how fast two and a half centuries of democracy and freedom can be destroyed by a feckless and criminal government
