Wrong guys! It was not just Covid crashing the economy. The Trump tax cut exploded the deficit. T-bill are sold to cover the deficit which is equivalent to printing money, and that dilutes the value of the dollars consumers spend, which is called inflation. Unlike the Biden spending that was earmarked for job creating infrastructure and support for the unemployed to keep them spending to support existing jobs, Trump's cuts only enriched the rich with stock buybacks. Tax cuts for the rich do not trickle down, which is why the working class was the losers. Economic policy take time to propagate through the economy, which is why it took time for Biden to get things in order. Biden and then Harris both failed to make this point.
Hey Adam, don’t disparage the “pink hat” protests on 1/21/17! It was millions of “regular people”, predominantly women (but we’re regular people too, not just walking uteruses, right?) all across the country! It energized the resistance that led to flipping the House in 2018. Respect the women who early on recognized the awfulness of Trump and said “NO”!
