The Trump Administration has used its first six months to shortchange America’s emergency response efforts in order to give tax cuts to the wealthiest Americans.
I just wanted to explain why I keep referring to Project 2026, even though it's called Project 2025. The authors of this remind me of Hitlers "Mein Kampf". A manifesto or belief that will keep on updating to the next year. If anyone believes that these zealots are satisfied with what they have, I believe it will cause us to be caught off guard by their treacherous behavior and our right to vote. Never has it been so important to show our innate belief in this country. I believe in the Constitution of the United States. I believe that even with a Supreme Court that ignores the very core of this document, who ignore gifting as a right and do not answer to anyone, at least while this Congress is in session, we will make them responsible for their actions. November 2025 will be every person's opportunity to right a wrong.

The states that need the most help are states that elected Trump to save them from the democrats and Biden. I still have not heard a word about Texas and how they will find a way to recover from the flooding. Where are their Senators and Congressmen? Where is the outrage and support for their constituents? The same is true of the states with fires. As long as I can remember, firefighters were always working together, communities all around the burning areas fed and provided a place to rest. All you had to do was look at Trump’s last term and Project 2026 to know that Trump is the destroyer of cities and states. It’s so obvious that Trump is too ignorant to understand the consequences of his actions. And the designers of Project 2026 can get him to sign anything into law. People need to come together to fight for what we have lost. To replace Congressmen and the Senate with men and women who will work together to restore and replace the laws that have been ignored and abandoned by the Republican Congress. November cannot get here fast enough.
I retired from the Federal government a looong time ago, but during my career I had close contact with our natural resource agencies' particularly NIFC. Next to out military veterans, these folks deserve accolades for their heroism. One of the toughest jobs a person can have is that of a firefighter fighting fires in our natural environment. Forest (and range) fires create their own very unpredictable weather - just ask a pilot who has to dump fire retardant on a big fire which creates monstrous updrafts and wind (and they do this in some of the most rugged terrain in our nation). OR a firefighter on the ground who has to constantly be alert to wind change which can reverse the direction of the fire right into them.
These are true hard working PATRIOTS who deserve better than an administration sitting in an air conditioned office and drastically cutting the funds necessary to protect our most valuable resources. These "stuffed shirt" idiots have no idea of the real danger of fires, floods, tornados and hurricanes. PLEASE, PLEASE Congress make sure adequate funds are appropriated for the natural resource agencies (and FEMA) to take care of our great natural resources.
Any funds appropriated by Congress for FEMA are in danger of being redirected towards building concentration camps for immigrants and other related cruelties towards the undocumented and even legal residents of this once great nation by the Trump administration. They've already done it. Who's to stop them from doing it again?
