He was confident that the obsequious Donald Trump would do anything he asked, so he just needed to get him elected. Then the United States would become the third ‘sphere of influence’ and would control the Americas. Putin borrowed the concept from colonial era agreements between England, France, Spain and other European countries. As they were colonizing countries around the world, they formed an agreement to divide the world into ‘sphere’s of influence’, with each country in charge of those areas of the world in which they had colonies. They had agreed not to interfere with the other colonial powers in ‘their areas’. Putin’s plan was to have Trump focus on controlling Greenland and the countries in North, Central and South America and not to interfere with either Russia or China as they expanded their empires in Europe and Asia.
Putin’s philosophical soul-mate, Xi Jinping had already spent years meticulously building his cult in China. He had transformed the entire educational system so that students in China were being taught to worship Xi and his philosophy from an early age and to believe that democracy was outdated and unworkable, while Xi’s form of authoritarianism represented the future. In China, the Falun Gong and the Uigyurs had become problematic, but he knew how to deal with them so that they would be nothing more than an annoyance. He made sure that the information given to his countrymen by media outlets that he controlled would insure that his suppression of their movements would not engender any appreciable resistance in the country.
Young people were becoming addicted to their phones and both Vladimir and Xi Jinping knew that they could use this addiction to mold their supple minds. They were both beginning to understand that they would not only be able to take over the world, but by turning this addiction into their tool, they could convince the younger generations to keep the world order that they would create, long after their deaths.

Donald Trump was elected President of the United States. Upon hearing the news, Vladimir Putin and the oligarchs in Moscow threw wild parties. Now they knew the world was theirs because a Russian asset was now in the White House.

I encourage you to positively assert messages of very specific things Dems can do to help people. You don’t need me to give you a primer. Simply, your attack FELON msgs are going past people and you deny yourselves expensive chances to make impact. I’m a political scientist, former presidential pollster and news media consultant offering this input. You are a great group, but you’re pissing into the wind.
