It won’t surprise you to learn that Trump’s polling continues to be terrible. Just when we think it’s hit bottom, he surprises us with a ballroom, or a slush fund, or a weird UFC thing at the White House.

There are two coverups running in Washington right now, and they have something in common beyond the obvious. Both are being run by people who think you’re stupid. And both are being abetted, day after day, by a press corps that would rather attend the briefing than do the job.
It’s clear that there is a floor … somewhere. But where? Is his a Nixon floor? Or a 1936-Dust-Bowl-Depression kinda floor? It remains to be seen, but there is every reason to expect that only Trump could take the record for being the best … at being the worst.
