Thank you for this comments and conversations especially now. I’m not surprised everything seems a distraction. GOP is losing its way, Steve Bannon is trying to start a crisis with voters. None of this will work. It’s has been said Susie Wiles is on her way out the door unless she still likes enabling the President.
They were talking about the special election in Louisiana's State Representative District 60 held yesterday. And they said if a Republican took it that would give MAGA Republicans a huge win and a talking point that the Democratic sweep of special elections was over.
Fear not, the election was yesterday and here is the result:
Louisiana Democrat Chasity Verret Martinez defeated her Republican opponent by double digits in the special election Saturday night for a state House seat in a district President Trump won by 13 points in 2024.
Martinez won 62% of the vote compared to 38% for her Republican opponent.
The Dem sweep continues. The MAGAs are running scared.
That was very helpful. I especially like the last idea of putting out a kind of rebuild America Peace Corps. I hope that after Trump, young people will be so disgusted by all the hate, corruption, and damage he and his enablers wrought that they will jump at the chance to do something positive. Thanks.
Just 2 days before the Nazi Republican Virginia governor left office in an act of violence pardoned a cop killer(https://bit.ly/4rjx3Pz) just because he could This underscores that the Nazi party of “law and order” is clearly the party of lawlessness
Over at Harry Litman’s Substack channel(https://bit.ly/4rjx3Pz) he recalls Lincoln’s Lyceum address in which Lincoln made the case that when a society stops respecting the rule of law then that disrespect leads to a lawless society and that the destruction of a democratic Republic occurs from within, that violence committed in the name of community passion would be tolerated, even excused, and that the rule of law would erode as a result
But reverence for law—the shared understanding that rules bind even when inconvenient—quietly dissolves and accountability becomes persecution of the one who is held to accountability And poignantly it's us to decide WE the People will decide at this crossroads which path to follow that "will make all the difference"

$26 million for Texans in Illinois, a pittance compared to what Trump’s stolen.
When this is over, I hope that the focus will be on reformation. We can’t go back to the broken system that brought us Trump
Elizabeth Warren should be promoted by anybody who’s interested in cleaning up corruption
I agreed to Edwin. And we need a multiparty system because clearly the two parties were too easily captured.

Ballot access public financing of campaigns redistribution of broadcast media channels to serve public interests again …those are some ideas
Great ideas
But hire people committed to the Constitution
Whose got their marriage and/or divorce certificates handy?
Six months ago I said that the Texas redistricting was going to backfire. It's looking pretty good!
