"Gas is back to $3.50/gal? I believe the last time gasoline in my area was that cheap was during COVID when no one was driving as much. My local price dances closely around $4.69 9/10, which has been steady for months.

If I were to have a cat again, I would make its food from actual food, not canned crap.

Although, some, people think 💭 a separation of powers is a, perhaps more important thing than the Constitution. 🗳️, like, your freedom, liberty 🗽, always counts. Thank you. Good day.

Using The Angry Mob Mentality For Change

Anger is double edged sword It can be destructive which gives this emotion a bad rap But it can be constructive when used in way to respond to threat WE the People are under a Nazi takeover threat and WE are angry at what is transpiring Our only hope is that the Democratic Party can meet the moment with anger and continue to not play by the rules and civility to quash the Nazis in what can only be termed a political civil war

With that said WE the People are behind the Democrats no matter how bad we may think their policies are because they stand between the democratic republic and a Russian dictatorship And I think that there is enough public animosity about this Nazi takeover that a Congressional mandate will become apparent in the 2026 midterms

So what does a Democratic platform look like? It better be darn close to what that anger that brought about the Democratic election results No more civility No more compromise No more reaching across the aisle It should look like a knockdown drag out fight and no taking prisioners This should include election reform to include mandatory mail in voting in every state and removal of gerrymandering , SCOTUS expansion, abortion rights and women’s reproductive health initiatives, end Citizens United and big money in politics, AND revocation of tax relief for billionaires and corporations

I thought I would label Trump Chi-po-plec-tic concerning Chicago. Liked the mime. The only thing that can make him look thin and tough is that AI generated mime,"Chipocalypse Now." As for the farmers--darn them--they should have known better, but of course they got bailed out last go round. Tightening the pressure, staying loud and showing up is what we all need to be doing. Good article, Evan. Take care.

Heh. American farmers have been Socialist rent-seekers strutting around in Rugged Individualist drag for a century. And it's not even new, they've been called on it over and over, but it's always been convenient for the rubes to ignore that and fall for the "amber waves of grain" political ads.

Excellent review of the orange clown and his perverted, dysfunctional admin.

tryump does not give one damn about military personnel, their families, their living conditions, their low pay, or their daycare needs. trump doesn't give a damn about anyone but himself. Always been that way.

The Deot of Defense has become the Dept of Dolts under the drunken foc weekend hangover host kegsbreath. If his actions and those of trump weren't so consequential and disgusting, it would be comical.

trump, bibi, putin, stalin, hitler. They all killed innocent children for political gain.

To hell with cultist, beggars farmers for trump. They steal from the taxpayer than fossil fuel and AI moochers. Welfare red states steal fromblue states and hate blue states for helping thier own people. But when it comes to taking blue state cash to feed red state farmers, these pickpockets are all in. Permanent subsidies for farmers who plow under crops as kids go hungry in school. Classy bunch of the usual trump trash.

Don't forget the trumpstein affair and coverup...

I think it is a mistake to make separation of powers the principal ground for attacking Trump’s expansion of executive powers. His actions against democratic cities in the name of law and order is also violative of the very foundations of our federal government. Crime prevention is a state issue, not a federal issue. The Federal government has no legitimate role unless the state requests assistance.

I think you've identified a field on which we can all stand and fight, Paul. First of all, we have settled law that clearly distinguishes states' rights from Federal rights. Secondly, at least in several Blue States, we have strong and able leaders well-positioned to organize not only performative protests, but more substantive ones, such as the 'soft secession' of withholding state revenues designated for the Federal Coffers. There is also the proven fact that the more local the grievance, the stronger the pushback. The LA invasion by ICE and the National Guard fizzled, even though the majority of Angelenos are Latino and within that group there is a lesser sense of ascribed rights than there is among groups who have bled and died in defense of those rights as a whole. Take Chicago, as Evan illustrates. The City of Broad Shoulders is tougher, better organized and more sure of itself, as well as a Union Town, like Pittsburgh, where I live. So, Trump Taco Tits, just you try running Chicago or the 'Burgh over with your performative bullshit. We'll take our bows now, because short of using a dirty bomb nuke, you are not going to walk away with a victory here.
