Thank you gentlemen. I lived in Maine 14 years. People disliked Senator Collins, okay, now she is running again. Politics in Maine is strange. I never thought Rep Golden would give up his seat and retire, rank choice voting came in. It seems La Page will waltz into the seat easily. No one likes him! His claim was he was worse than Trump, could that be why Senator Angus King endorsed Janet Mills for Governor? I’m not afraid of saying I will not miss Golden, he is a big disappointment to me! Do you think Platner will win? I do. Politics has become good lately for the democrats. Golden was mentored by Senator Collins! I’m just not sure. Everyone is up in arms in Maine , Republicans are not voting for Collins. I have Republican friends who don’t like her living in Maine they don’t like Mills, but she is a tenuous figure in Maine politics. You gentlemen know better than I do.

It’s fine to report Trump’s support among Dems, Independents, and Republicans, but I want to know if there are fewer people reporting themselves to BE Republicans? I’ve been a (California) republican (more like libertarian) all my life, but I wouldn’t dream of registering or voting Republican now or ever again. Are there others? Is the Republican party shrinking (as it should be)? Peter Buttigieg used to talk about “future former Republicans”; was he right? Thanks to the Lincoln Project for taking a stand.
