Donald Trump Is Afraid of Us
He's suing the Wall Street Journal. Stephen Colbert just got the ax at CBS. But here at Lincoln Square, we're not backing down.

You’ve seen Trump’s latest lawsuit. In his frenzied attempt to shut down speculation over the Epstein List — which he still won’t release — he’s turning on his MAGA friends.
They want the answers he promised them for years. And they’re wondering what exactly he’s hiding.
Now Trump is suing Rupert Murdoch — yes, the same Rupert Murdoch worked overtime to get Trump reelected with nonstop propaganda on Fox News and his other media corporations.
But Murdoch’s Wall Street Journal ran a story last week on a very special birthday letter Trump sent to Epstein. Trump had a sad. And he promptly filed a $10 billion defamation suit.
That suit named our partners at The Lincoln Project, which he calls a "known anti-Trump organization" (thanks, Donald!) for daring to post the WSJ story to their 2.8 million followers.
This latest lawsuit is more than just a headline. It's a stark reminder of the lengths that Trump will go to silence dissenting voices and suppress uncomfortable truths.
And it happened the same week that Paramount announced that it was canceling the enormously successful Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Colbert makes fun of Trump on the daily (and why wouldn’t he?)
None of this is a coincidence.
Paramount already capitulated to Trump by agreeing to pay his future presidential library $16 million because he didn’t like the edit of an interview with former VP Kamala Harris last year. They sold out the First Amendment and all of us to curry favor with the president because they had a big merger that needed approval.
Donald Trump is terrified of dissent. And corporate media clearly isn’t going to save us.
But those of us at Lincoln Square believe that a strong, informed public is the bedrock of a healthy democracy. We’re dedicated to exposing disinformation, inspiring critical thought, and providing you with the tools to fight forward for the America we all deserve. We’re so proud that you’ve consistently made us one of the fastest-rising Substacks in U.S. Politics.
Every day, we’re building a community of people — left, right, and center — who are standing up for our country and the rule of law. And Trump’s continued obsession with silencing pro-democracy voices only strengthens our resolve.
Unlike media outlets with billionaire backers or corporate overlords, Lincoln Square relies on the grassroots support of people like you. We try to keep as many of our articles and shows free for everyone, especially because we know that so many people are struggling in Trump’s economy.
We’re asking you to become a Lincoln Loyal paid subscriber, if you can, so that we can continue to do the pro-democracy, independent journalism that Donald Trump hates so much.
We amplify crucial stories, like the one the Wall Street Journal published — even when it draws the ire of Trump and powerful figures, regardless of party. We challenge disinformation. In an increasingly noisy media landscape, we cut through the clutter to deliver facts and analysis.
We strive to educate and engage. Lincoln Square offers insights from leading experts and provide platforms for discussion, like our Substack chats that are driven by you. And we will always stand firm against attacks. When organizations like ours are targeted by Trump, your support allows us to stand strong and continue our vital work.
We are in a fight for the very soul of our nation. It's a fight for truth, for accountability, and for the fundamental principles that define us. Join us. Become a Lincoln Square subscriber today. Let's show them that the truth, and the people who champion it, are not going anywhere.

I can’t keep up with all the stuff you people are putting out. That’s why at this point in time which is Sunday night in Honolulu 20 July 2025 - there’s hardly any comments (1) and only 11 likes and three restacks here. I sincerely think that you should try for quality over quantity - not to say that all your content isn’t worthwhile, but it’s adding to our sense of exhaustion, and that’s the last thing we need right now.
