While I know this is true even if that failing old man dies before then, I'm so weary of every election being a 5 alarm fire. Bone tired. Those independent voters who went with Trump in 2024--who bought into Trump's lie about making life more affordable--discounting his first term, Jan. 6, the felony convictions, the documents at Mar-a-Lago, etc.--those voters have regrets and very well may switch. But the cult? Not a chance. They will always believe Dear Leader, even as he drives them over a cliff. If everything that has happened in the last decade--in the last 11 months!--hasn't opened their eyes, nothing will, and I've given up trying to convince them otherwise.

Many trump sycophants will face charges if the dems gain control. They will do anything to stop that from happening. Our security agencys and elected officials dropped the ball when it came to thwarting the January 6 attack and the several schemes to overturn an American election. Those agency's are under trumps control. Remember, it was one person that saved the election that day. It was Mike Pence. We will need many Mike Pences to stand up in the future. Your concerns are absolutely accurate. I have an ongoing debate with someone else associated with Lincoln Square about whether we will have elections or not in 2028 (I don't think he would go to that length in 2026 when he is not personally at risk of losing his office - and immunity). The argument goes that he wants elections, just not free and fair elections. My post is only a part of that - subverting the election in the House would absolutely be a part of that.
